Re: Democratic Challengers 10: If we stop fighting Nazis, the world will die.

Klobuchar is still the candidate with the best chance to beat Trump in a general election.

Her problem is you run to the outside in primaries and she's built for the general where you run to the middle.

who would you vote

Trump v Klobuchar
Trump v Sanders
Trump v Warren
Trump v Buttigieg
Trump v Biden
Trump v Bloomberg

Not anymore you don't. Your political model is 20 years out of date, and that's good news for the country. You guys used to know what you were doing but this century has shown the GOP is well and truly inept.

Who's the inept one? They're getting results.

No. You do not run to the middle. The middle is dead.

Re: Democratic Challengers 10: If we stop fighting Nazis, the world will die.

Will the 1 in 10 Sanders supporters who voted Trump in 2016, thereby sealing the win for him in those key battleground states, vote for him again if Bernie isn’t the nominee this time around? And, will that matter, or will the voters who stayed home in 2016, because they hated HRC, or because Obama was a unique candidate, vote for the Dem nominee no matter what this time around when they realize no one, not even Michael Bloomberg, could be worse than Trump?

The GOP didn't get results. The last thing the GOP tried to do was kill Dump. Instead they are now his prison b-tch.

The current Republican Party is a worse failure than the current NRA.

GOP and Trump are the same thing now.

Mitch is still jerking off over Trumps court picks every night

Probably, because those were people Bernie brought into politics to say f-ck you to the system, and with him gone Dump was the next middle finger.

Sanders brings people without a voice to the table. The vast majority will become Democrats (on the Left fringe, sitting next to me). That 10% will fall to the Dark Side. On balance it's a huge boon to us.

The trick this time is to run a candidate attractive enough that the rest of the Democratic party comes out to vote. A campaign with some animation and charisma is more effective at that than any constellation of policies, unfortunately. So find me somebody with a nice smile and winning ways and shove them in front of a crowd.

Danton found out what's at the end of that road. Mitch's only hope is withdraw his neck into his shell when the blade comes down.

And sorry...i don't think your boy is the best chance and never has been.
Literally all evidence points to you being wrong about this but it's not like facts and logic are your strong suit.

We had like 2.5/10 Hillary voters do this in 2008 and Obama still won by a lot proving once again that this narrative is stupid.

"All" is too strong. You and I have a theory. Handy et al. have a theory. Both are defensible and both are susceptible to attack. There's no really strong apples-to-oranges data so both sides can claim to be more credible.

That side is exaggerating and trying to mock and roll over us in large part because they can't get outside their programming which has put the party and country in the position we find them. Let's not play like them. We could be wrong. I would say we're about 70% likely to be right. If Sanders wins the nomination we'll find out, and that works for me.

You and I both understand if we continue on forever the way we're going we are giving our country to the Nazis. But they don't know, so don't act as if they know and are lying. They're just unconsciously riding the rails of a narrative written literally before they were born to stifle their imaginations. Our job is to help them free themselves, and nobody was ever seduced by derision, so stop playing that note.

All empirical evidence i.e. the polls that have showed this for about a year now.

I'll bet I can find one poll where Sanders doesn't have the widest margin.* And even in those polls which show him as the best it's a fractional advantage.

* Very first one I looked at: ABS News / WaPo 2/19:

+7 Biden
+6 Sanders

NPR/PBS/Marist 2/18:

+4 Bloomberg
+3 Sanders

NBC/WSJ 2/18:

+6 Biden
+4 Bloomberg
+3 Sanders

Quinnipiac 2/10:

+9 Bloomberg
+8 Sanders

I’d argue we gave our country to the Nazis when Henry Ford, JP Morgan, Allen Dulles, John Foster Dulles, George Herbert Walker, Prescott Bush and Averill Harriman all got away with sedition and treason between 1934-1945. The downhill slide since then was “inevitable “ as Thanos would say.

Back to topic
If Sanders is not the nominee I think we’ll see yellow vests here stat and to be honest, that’s about 100 or so years late.

Re: Democratic Challengers 10: If we stop fighting Nazis, the world will die.

Of course you can find an outlier but the polling aggregates have showed that for a while now, not to mention the polls have clearly exaggerated Biden's chances.

As for your point about not deriding posters here, the post that literally started the exchange was somebody concern trolling about, "bUt bErNiE's nOt a dEmOcRaT", and I'm sorry but that's more than worthy of derision given what we're up against.

yeah, I'm not sure I'm buying the polling that shows him doing the best against Trump. He's going to get painted as a socialist boogieman and it turns out over half the voters have an unfavorable opinion of "socialism" (including some democrats and independents that we'll need to win)

You think you're going to scare anyone with this "they'll say Bernie is a Socialist!" stuff? As if Faux "News" won't convince the cult Bloomberg is a disciple of Marx if he's the nominee. Anyone to the left of Sniffles is a Communist. Reagan wouldn't be welcome in the modern GOP.
