Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

You just described me voting for Ventura over Coleman in the MN election years ago. While I don't agree with you on this particular decision, I completely understand how you feel.

I was thinking of the moment I voted for Harry Browne (L) in '96. It was exactly the steps I went through mentally. I exercised my right to dream of a country where the right would be Principled Minarchist and not Vicious F-cktard.

I know precisely how Bass felt today.

Now I’m Biden’s #1 fan.

I was thinking I was voting Warren, but went with Sanders at the last minute. Decided right at the end to try and get a progressive the state again, as I didn't truly think Warren had a shot. It was pointless, as it turns out. I think a lot of people like me went in like I did, and picked one of the two, splitting it enough to screw both of them. Combined with the Klobuchar effect the progressives of MN were doomed.

Again, the numbers in Hennepin County, one of the most progressive counties in the country, tell the story. Biden 90k, Sanders 87k, Warren 50k.

I read through it three times. Explain it to this overly tired posted.

TLDR: convinced myself I should vote for Biden because I thought he had a better chance to beat Trump plus I have concerns with Bernie not on policy but as a politician.

At the last possible second changed my vote to Bernie anyway.

Got that out of my system and now I’m ready to put my effort towards supporting Biden.

As much as I wanted Amy, and to a lesser extent Warren, or Mayor Pete, it was down to Barry, Uncle Joe, and maybe Bloom. Had to go Joe. Not my favorite, but he was the closest who also had a shot to defeat Trump and closest to what I desire in a candidate. I still feel dirty, though.

Ah Texas. Republicans are hoping people won’t stand in line for 5 hours to vote.

Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

As I mentioned earlier I was choosing between Warren and Biden since Pete and Klobuchar were out. My politics probably align better with Biden than Warren, but she just seemed smarter, and a better leader than Biden would be.

Given that the Texas race is so close, I guess that means I technically "voted for Bernie" :p

Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

Biden won 5 states he didnt even campaign in...that is astounding

edit: MSNBC is saying Biden will get the threshold in California. Not good news for Bernie. Neither are the upcoming primaries in the South.

Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

MSNBC calls Texas for Biden.

Seeing Biden on stage tonight, I am having a hard time seeing him beating Trump. Still think Biden is a better option than Sanders in that regard. No idea what people are predicting for the general election but I can't say I am all that confident.

Four more years
Four more years

:(

Zero chance. Those are two cabinet members. Amy will be the AG and Pete will be VA or Commerce or some other non-defense position.

(God I hope I’m right.)

You don't take any sitting Democrat senator out of their seat unless you can assure their replacement is also a Democrat.

She's won me over ;)

Yep. I voted for her in NH, and since she's underperforming, I've been supporting Bernie.

But at this point, a brokered convention is the worst thing that could happen, so I hope she stays in and siphoned off enough Bernie support to give Biden a free ride to the nomination.

And then its all about Joe.

Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

Biden winning means the dems once again couldnt find anyone useful to run.

Bernie is to far socialist to win the general and Warren is a robot. So we are left with the doting old man who probably cant remember his name most days.

Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

It really is scary watching Biden speak

If old uncle Joe stays upright through the fall - and I think he looks pretty bright and energetic next to Trump - he will win the election. I think the killing shot would be to name an Obama (either one) as “Vice president” to run the hard things.
