Then the DNC needs to fire right back. There's plenty of instances where Trump slurs badly, says **** that makes zero sense in a real world sense, is at times downright incomprehensible, and then on top of it lies more than any public figure in the history of the planet.

The sad part is it would be if they just got out and actually voted. Millennials are the single biggest cohort, and Generation Z will be bigger than Gen X.
The numbers are there, but they just don't take advantage of them.

Handy, I think they did see how the math worked. What they may not have thought about was it becoming a consolidated race so early. They went in on getting an insurmountable lead and counting on momentum to get them over 50% by the convention.
If Pete and Amy had stayed, I think there’s a very good chance Bernie takes all of California as the rest remain unviable. And to a lesser extent Texas, though I think Biden would have gotten viability there.

I am pretty confident in feeling that Trump will not come near any debates this go round.

His campaign needed to be smarter about that though and consider it to be a real possibility. Especially in light of Sanders not winning as many votes in 2020 vs 2016 in the 1st 4 states that voted. He should have called Warren (and maybe he did) the minute he got wind of the Klobachur-Buttigieg endorsements as well as the underrated O'Rourke one and pleaded with her to drop out and endorse him as well. That would have left him consolidated on the left with Biden and Bloomberg splitting the mods. Instead he was left with a 30% ceiling with Warren hurting him as much as Bloomberg was hurting Biden, but Uncle Joe got everybody else out of the race AND got them to endorse and campaign for him. Masterful.

Kep's kind of taking a breather too. Having said all that I'm very disappointed in how things turned out for my candidate Lizzy Warren. IMHO by far the best choice out there, but the voters decide and I'm all in on Zombie Joe. Pass the brains to eat and lets start terrorizing the countryside or whatever it is that zombie's do.
EDIT: I don't know what I'm going to do with all the weed that I bought thinking Bernie was going to have a big night! Stupid 538 and their predictions.

Possible but I dont know. Cali yes which would have been nice for Bernie but Texas was going the wrong way and I dont think he would have racked up a big enough victory. It is pretty obvious Warren siphoned off a lot of votes in some states. (Texas and Minnesota for sure) Biden wouldnt have been winning but Bernie's lead wouldnt be insurmountable. It just would have lead to a brokered convention.
The problem Bernie had was his numbers were never rising. They were flat. That is fine for a while but sooner or later he was going to run into the same problem he did last night. None of the Moderates were gonna endorse him so he was going to need to run up huge victories in the big states and tread water elsewhere. The math was never in the favor because the African American Vote was against him. He was always going to get trounced in the South outside of Texas. Some pollsters tried to poo poo that but last night proved it.
Bernie isnt Trump...he couldnt hold his 30ish percent and hope it works. The delegate counts werent going to allow for it unless he was viable outside of the States he was expected to win. South Carolina was the harbinger of bad things to come. The second Clyburn endorsed the South was Biden's. Once that became the case the Cali landslide was all but offset anyways.
I would argue the ultimate mistake Bernie made was Clinton-esque. He figured he would win big in Cali and Texas, do well in New England and use the momentum to at least be viable elsewhere. He banked on Joe being dead and the rest of the moderates fighting it out for a while and him emerging because of his strong base of youth voters and their loud voices and social media savvy. They didnt plan for the contingency that things might not work that way and it bit them badly. I mean they didnt even put up a fight in some of these states which allowed Biden to rack up huge victories. You have to at least TRY.
