Election night observations: Republicans, don't complain about the deficit when it built up so high under your party's run in Congress. Democrats, don't ***** about the Republican's unwillingness to compromise, you had a definitive majority, there's no reason you shouldn't have gotten **** done. Newly elected Congress people, don't pretend like you'll go to Washington and "kick some ***", you won't if, if you try, you're not going to get anything for your district.
There's a big problem with these newly elected leaders, they say all these things about the economy, but don't know anything. Americans are impatient, irrational people, politicians are no different, the economy can't fix itself overnight. October 2007 is when the mortgage crisis reached its pinnacle, we're three years afterwards and finally have passed laws that prevent the same thing from happening. The federal stimulus has initiated infrastructure projects that were desperately needed. Fiscal conservatism is necessary now, but with aggressive monetary policy. There's only so much government spending can do.
