Dear Brett Favre Make Up Your Darn Mind Already

Re: Dear Brett Favre Make Up Your Darn Mind Already

I wonder what would happen if you are right...would your head cave in? Would there be a tear in the space-time continuum? Would the ending of Ghostbusters happen except this time Gozer the Traveler wins even though she is a 100 foot marshmallow man? :p

Re: Dear Brett Favre Make Up Your Darn Mind Already

Oh my lord...I don't even have the words :p

Like I said, I'm not even sure the proper words have been invented yet. :p

While we're on Mr. Lemberger, here is another beauty...though it's about the Brewers and not the Packers. Guy has his own website and everything!

I have a good chance. The best part will be all the tears that will be shed when they lose at home to an underdog in the NFC championship game. Again.

Re: Dear Brett Favre Make Up Your Darn Mind Already

So the 5 people you know are more than the 65 thousand at the games...sure sure you keep telling yourself that! :p

I know more than 5, there's never 65k at the HHH and there's no way you can attest to how many of them asked for the switch. Only morons go to a Vikings game at that dump anyway so seriously, quit while you are behind.

Oooooh snap you really got me there...jesus Francis lighten up! :p

And I guess you are right, the Dome holds 64k for games so technically you were right...feel free to gloat cause no one cares :D ;)

Re: Dear Brett Favre Make Up Your Darn Mind Already

How do you know they didn't know already? Especially given what Glaser said.

btw - I'm not defending the move even if it does **** off Pecker fans, I'm just saying your whining up the wrong tree.

Maybe they did, all I'm saying here is credibility wise it looks bad to say "we are done with Favre" and 3 weeks later go out and sign him.
Course it also looks bad for Favre to say he isn't sure he can handle a full season and then 3 weeks later be ok with it.

Re: Dear Brett Favre Make Up Your Darn Mind Already

I am so sick of Favre I can't stomach reading through this thread, so here's a drive-by comment and apologies if it's already been posted.

Brett Favre, December 11, 2000:

Q: "And when you retire?"
A: "I'll be down in Hattiesburg. You'll never find me. You know the HBO 'Where are They Now?' segments on Inside the NFL? They'll do one on me, but they'll have to get Robert Stack, like on Unsolved Mysteries. I'll disappear."

(thanks to a slate.com article that brought this to my attention)

I'm saying the place is never full (except for Packer games) and I doubt half the crowd for those games give a **** about who starts for the Vikings. Parise, you're thick. :D

To be fair...When has Childress ever let us know 100% what was going on with the team?

Target already has BrettFavre/Vikings stuff...and he signed two days ago.

Just a question codger...when was the last time you went to a game because everytime I am there (or anyone I know is there) the place is full. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good post right Tonkaboy :D

So full that they need buyers to buy tickets to avoid blackouts? Of course this is neither here nor there since I still never met anyone that seriously asked for Gus to start over Daunte. :)

(and for the record I go to one game per year even though I hate going with a passion)

Me too...although when I find cheap tickets or free tickets I tend to take them. The average Rube at the Dump for a game makes Brenthoven seem like a genius! Hell they make Paul Allen seem competent!

I always...

What's too bad about going to the Dome for Vikings games for me is that it's a good venue for watching football. But you add the roof, the noise, the stupid crap they do during TV timeouts, the drunks, the concourses, the restrooms and the parking and well it just doesn't make sense for me to have season tickets. Parise bless those that can put up with that 8 times per year.

Whoa whoa whoa. I'm smarter than you look, Mister Brainy Brainiac. ;)

Slap- I concur. And the idiots who verbally harass you and physically threaten you, because you wear an opposing jersey (I'm talking more than the average trash-talk). Last time I was at a Vikes game, it was the "Good Golly, this is disgusting!!" game against the Bills, wearing my Jay Reimersma Bills jersey. I don't wanna go to another game because of the crap I had to put up with.

I was waiting for a comment like that. I'm sure it does happen at every stadium. However, I've only been to one stadium for pro football, so I related those experiences to what I have personally seen. :p

Re: Dear Brett Favre Make Up Your Darn Mind Already

I'm pretty sure that was because you were wearing a Jay Reimersma jersey. Who the hell is Jay Reimersma? He sounds like a Polish plumber.

Hey, Benchwarmer Bob loved the jersey. He stopped by for a beer and we bs'ed a while about football.

And Jay is a former TE for the Bills, from MI I believe.
