Slap- I concur. And the idiots who verbally harass you and physically threaten you, because you wear an opposing jersey (I'm talking more than the average trash-talk). Last time I was at a Vikes game, it was the "Good Golly, this is disgusting!!" game against the Bills, wearing my Jay Reimersma Bills jersey. I don't wanna go to another game because of the crap I had to put up with.

I can't decide if you are brave or stupid. I have vowed to never go into another teams rink/stadium/arena/field or whatever with my teams gear on. I went to a Wild game when I lived in Tampa, and took crap from people for cheering for them.

A little of both. I sat in the MTU students' section last year when MN was at MTU, wearing my UMN Arrogance shirt one night and a UMN jersey the next. Got a little (friendly) grief, but nothing bad. It really does depend on if one wants to be an ahole, if one is wearing an opponents' jersey.

And for the record, at that Bills game that was mentioned, about 6 cops headed to the section where I was sitting (the only Bills fan in that section) and asked if I was harassing/getting harassed. At that point, I wasn't, but the next section over, apparently Vikes' fans were tossing beers/epithets/threats against the 20-30 Bills' fans that were there.

After the game, I had about 4-5 different fans/groups of fans threaten to kick my arse/say that I should die/asked me to step out of my vehicle to learn a lesson about wearing an opposing jersey/etc. I said nothing after the game, knowing that the Bills were rather lucky to win that game.

I was wearing my Gopher jersey too, and MNS had a Sioux jersey, just to confuse everyone:p

Ah, the coup de grace ... where Brett Favre has the nerve to stand in front of Packers fans and tell them which of them are "true" fans and which ones are not. I don't know when Brett Favre became the great arbiter of Packer fanhood, but I love the new rule: "If you don't sympathize with me, you are not a Packers fan." That's not arrogant at all.

What would be awesome:

Favre gets levelled in preseason. Not hurt, but hit really *ing hard. A few times. Then says, "Ah, * it. I quit."

I think that would be un-toppable for hilarity.

I find it unstoppably hilarious how much you pay attention to a team you apparently dont care about...what nothing interesting going on with the UFL team in Buffalo? :rolleyes: :p

Uh, hey, dunno if you noticed, but I'll watch any NFL game. And tonight there happens to be a Vikings game on. Also, since I live in the metro area, it's hard NOT to hear anything and everything about the Vikings this week.

Plus, there's always scouting for FFL. ;) :p

And I'm sure you know this, being the genius you are, but Losman (formerly of the Bills) is in fact the "face of the UFL." Whatever that means. That league won't finish the year.

I pay no attention to fake football leagues but that is friggin hilarious! I will tell my buddy the Bills fan he will laugh he hated Losman!

Losman was not good, and I was glad to see him go. He signed with Las Vegas, for the record.

Let's put it this way: when NFL Sunday rolls around, I watch football games/related programming from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to bed. :o

I don't necessarily see why the UFL would fail.

Every other pro league that's come around has tried to pretend like its not a development league, and the UFL seems to have no qualms about the fact that they're taking NFL leftovers. I don't know how much that helps them, but it certainly gives them a leg up on pretty much every other failed pro league.

Even the "new" WFL league was failing until the NFL bought a good chunk (if not all, I dunno the details) of it. And obviously Arenaball failed, despite its different marketing. I just can't see it succeeding. I'm not saying that it is a good thing, but unless it can survive a very local market (there are some independent leagues out there that are only neighboring state-involved), which it isn't trying to do, it will not fly.
