Re: Dead!!!!

Zsa Zsa still only has one foot in the grave. ;)

She could be merely mostly dead.;)

Miracle Max: Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.

Inigo Montoya: What's that?

Miracle Max: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

Vince Flynn
:(

I am a really big fan of his books. He was a terrific story teller. It is a shame that he never had the opportunity to complete the entire Mitch Rapp story.

I was very sad to hear this news this morning, like goldy I thought the treatments were somewhat under control. At least as much as prostate cancer treatments can be. RIP Vince, you'll be greatly missed. It truly won't be the same not having another Mitch Rapp novel to look forward.

Rush has been going on about him for his whole show, as they were good friends. He indicated that the prostrate cancer was found late, and it probably had spread elsewhere, since Vince was experiencing pain in areas not associated with PC.

It all makes more sense now after the fact. I heard KFAN locally in Minneapolis play a Vince Flynn sound bite of him talking about dealing with death when he was on with Bump, that was a pretty powerful clip to hear back because I remember listening to that interview when it first took place.

Slim Whitman passed away too. Rough day for the KFAN boys.

Barreiro did mention, I think mistakenly, today that they have known for a while that Vince's cancer had spread to his bones. It appears that those close to him have known that this has been coming. None of this was public, and Vince was always so positive and upbeat when he was on with Dan, that none of us fans realized how serious his illness had gotten.

If anyone has an opportunity, that is a fan of Vince Flynn, I recommend podcasting Barreiro's show from this afternoon. He had a very tough time with it, and it was quite touching. His opening "ode to a dead guy" was extremely well done, and it was obvious that Barreiro was failing at holding back the tears.

Also, there was some mention that Vince may have had enough time to complete a final book, to put a final close to the Mitch Rapp series, knowing that he wouldn't have another opportunity to do so.
