Re: Dead!!!!

Canadian abortion activist Dr. Henry Morgentaler. A survivor of the Nazi death camps, he was awarded the Order of Canada in 2008, but many consider him a murderer.

Morgentaler, who was born in Lodz, Poland and came to Canada after the Second World War, emerged in 1967 as an advocate for the right of women to have abortion on demand — a polarizing issue in Canada. His abortion clinic in Montreal was followed by more clinics across the country.

"His work changed the legal landscape in Canada, and eventually led to the 1988 landmark Supreme Court of Canada decision that gave women the right to obtain abortion care," said Vicki Saporta, president of the National Abortion Federation.

Re: Dead!!!!

What I find more interesting is that Canada did not formally legalize abortion until 1988, 15 years after Roe v. Wade in the US.

Re: Dead!!!!

I missed something here.

With the addition of Dave Krusen on drums, the band took the name Mookie Blaylock, in reference to the then-active All-Star basketball player.

Released on August 27, 1991, Ten (named after Mookie Blaylock's jersey number)[13]....

Re: Dead!!!!

Ah, interesting. I didn't know that. Which is odd since I grew up in the 90s and lived for early to mid-90s music.

Re: Dead!!!!

It's like as soon as I start watching an old TV show, one of its stars dies.

Richard Dean Anderson might want to start worrying. ;)
