Not only was it a bolt action rifle. It was also single shot. He had to shoot himself and then reload four times. Turns out he also didn't have full use of his right arm, which complicated things for him.

Certainly not a tumor with a good prognosis but location where it starts can make a difference. The ones that start outside the liver are either found earlier or just treated better and have a 5 year survival of about 30% which is about twice that of those that start inside the liver. In cases like this I sometimes wonder about foreign travel-to areas where the parasite called the Liver Fluke are endemic. These little things can sometimes be implicated as a cause.

Steve Forrest, whose starred as Lt. Dan “Hondo” Harrelson on the 1970s ABC action series S.W.A.T., died peacefully surrounded by family on May 18 in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He was 87
