triple cabbage performed last Thursday went swimmingly according to the Dr and mookie was thankfully released on Tuesday. mookie is glad they left his legs alone and yanked veins from his chest. Party on Wayne, party on mookie

Glad you're okay! Hugs, if you accept them!

As a human, that sucks and my condolences to his family.

As a baseball fan, "Oh no. Anyway..."

back when joe morgan was managing the sox, he opined while sitting around with writers that catchers should be the best hitters, since they themselves spent half the game sitting behind the plate and seeing 100+ pitches coming at them. they should therefore immediately recognize every curve, split, four seam, what have you. this was during a rich gedman slup and when word got back, gedman didn't exactly appreciate it.
anyhows...
mookie worked in the prudential complex once which had a barnes & noble. mccarver wrote a book and was there for an hour or so signing. mookie tumbled down and poor tim was sitting there chatting with two guys just talking baseball. mookie smiled and said hi and asked tim his thoughts on morgan's comment. tim thought and said "you still need god given talent'.
well said tim.

Good to see that you still make more sense than most of Congress, Mookie.

McCarver was a NL bobo which I'm sure tickled Kep, but his inability to keep his bias out of announcing a WS was annoying. ffs Jack Buck did the '91 WS and you wouldn't have known he was a long-time Cardinals announcer. That's class and talent.

not in the us, over here.
advised not to travel for 4 weeks following.
plus couldn't very well walk in with all the tests and stuff in the us and ask them to go ahead and start. imagine mookie would have needed to start over with the test after insurance approved. probably could have planned this to happen then in nov 23.

Listened to Jack Buck do Cardinals games along with Mike Shannon in the late 70s when I lived in southern Missouri. Top shelf.
