It's the word "involved" that intrigues me. I mean if he died "from" a kiteboarding accident, or "in" one, or "due to" one, that's pretty clear. "Involved" could be that he jumped in front of a kiteboarder who had to dump, so the kiteboarder got angry and murdered him.

That obit skips or anyway only obliquely alludes to the 2 best facts about Kotto:

1. He claimed to be directly in line for the Cameroonian crown
2. The "Judaism" that his family converted to was a nutty black power cult that advocated exterminating the blue-eyed devil

I like his roles, but he was crazy as a bedbug.
