at that point of the draft, who cares?

the way I see it is the rules of the draft were laid out before anyone agreed to play. I say it's a done deal...

That's the most important time of the draft when you're drafting the depth players.

I agree with this. If the rules were clearly posted (and apparently I didn't read them properly, but if they were posted, that's on me), then the time to discuss this was before the draft occurred.

Either way, it's not likely to affect my draft positioning, as I'm right in the middle of the draft order, so I've got no dog in this fight.

We can do single picks per round until the final two IF everyone was to send me their contact information. That is the key. If we can keep it moving that would be fine by me.

I looked at fairness in the following way - add up the positions in the draft - 1st pick 1st round = 1, 1st pick 2nd round = 21, etc. when I did this, the total for the first picker is 843, and the last picker is 786.

If we did 3 one pick rounds and the last two being 6 picks, we get a smaller range first picker 804, last picker 824. I don't think that's that big a difference. There's a little less spread, but not that much. The people at the front when we turn for the last round get 6 picks in a row. I think what we have now is fine, and we are more likely to get finished this way.

And whoever picked first overall gets four straight 20 picks before I pick in the 3rd round. It's a horse apiece.

If we want to muddle with rules how about dropping the ludicrous limits on guys from certain teams or conferences? I see no value in it.

(Note: I don't really care about it but see that one as more of an issue than the draft setup)

I get the team rule, but I don't quite get the league restrictions.

I would like to say thanks to those who have made this draft and fantasy league possible. I am guilty of not reading how the draft selection process would take place. But at the end of the day, I have no issues with it, after reading it.
Secondly, please don't change anything and undo all of my research. I wish I was kidding about that....

XYZ, nice pickup with Fitzpatrick from Marian. Solid. I for sure thought I was gonna be able to snag him early in the second round...

now I'm gonna work out some trade bait for you that you'll be unable to refuse.

All right. NUProf is probably in bed, and I'm headed there soon (my bed, not his). Assuming my wireless connection cooperates at the office (no sure thing so far this week), and assuming that NUProf makes his pick in the morning, my pick will be in by lunch tomorrow.
