D3FHL Anyone??

Re: D3FHL Anyone??

Just so everyone knows...

I checked with Remy and Division II players ARE eligible to be drafted if so chosen.

Just remember...come playoff time you'll be hurting.

Re: D3FHL Anyone??

I cannot wait to make my first pick. A "sleeper" recruit/freshman for the Bears. Let's just say he has fairly well known uncle and his last name rhymes with Retzky.

Too bad my sleeper recruit for the Blue Devils will be better. His last name ryhmes with Emieux:cool:

Re: D3FHL Anyone??

Like not a big surprise I couldn't get him. I've got more ideas..

I had some other options but decided to go with the guy that made my jaw drop about five times at the Kreitzburg last March in the Elmira quarterfinal game.

Only good things can come from him playing with Forkey and Anderson again if Coach McShane keeps that crew together again.

Re: D3FHL Anyone??

Forgive me if this has been covered, but how can the fantasy season start a month before some teams begin playing? It seems that would discourage people from selecting players from the NESCAC and ECAC-E? Or is the idea 'who cares about a couple early season losses as long as you're there at the end of the season?'

Re: D3FHL Anyone??

Your postseason is determined by your conference schedule which doesnt start until the week before turkey day for that reason. Week 1 is also ex. which won't count in the standings, but you will still earn the extra points for over all.

Re: D3FHL Anyone??

Lame. And I would have used my #15 pick differently if the draft wasn't set up the way it was.

That gives a bigger advantage to the people at the front of the draft. I just ran a whole bunch or scenarios. The one that comes closest to fair is to run the first three rounds as single picks and then go with three picks in the last two rounds. Your suggestion is even more unbalanced in favor of the front end. I think we have our strategy set based on the way things are, so we should leave it. But this discussion is clogging the draft thread, too.

No more of an advantage than it was for those that got the first few picks of the first round. I say no changing the rules now that the draft is under way.

edit: I misunderstood your point. I could see only getting one pick in the second round, if the order of the draft is reversed. At this rate though, the draft could take all season. For some reason I thought you were suggesting going back to the top of the draft for round two and getting 2 picks. My bad...

This is a discussion from the other thread that was clogging up the draft thread so i deleted my post and now NUProf and altazo can as well. My apologies.

What i said to cause this coversation was that i thought it was a HUGE advantage to the people at the end of the draft to have two picks in round two and then they get the first crack at three picks again in round 3, IMHO

XYZ has FIVE picks in a row.

Is there anyway we can come up with a more fair way to do this?

I was not suggesting that we revert back to the top of the draft. A snake is still the way it has to be. There is no doubt about that. But i think jumping the picks up both times on rounds that end with the back order is not fair to the people selecting at the top.

(Im in the middle basically so this is not really anything that benefits me.)

Plus, in the first round...everyone is getting a stud. There were so many 35+ point scorers last year and no real outstanding head over heels guys way above everyone else like there is in fantasy football with Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson.

Just my opinion. take it for what its worth.

Re: D3FHL Anyone??

I didn't think of it at all, or at least I didn't read things properly. I wondered how we were gonna get 10 players out of a 4-round draft.

I don't see how xyz gets 5 picks in a row. 2 to start round 2 and then he doesn't pick again untill the end of the third round. Leave it the way it is.
