Concordia with a late period Power Play goal....to regain the lead 2-1 over UST

Still 0's in Gustavus. Jess Newstrom...borderline ridiculous right now. Bethel on Power Play to start the 3rd.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

Concordia with an insurance goal early in 3rd to go up 3-1 on St Thomas...despite being outshot 26-11

I would guess very few games are won at this stage of the season by teams giving up 3 goals on 11 shots.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

Concordia wins it 4-1 with an empty netter.

Gustavus and Bethel going to OT. Gustavus takes a penalty with 2 seconds left so Bethel will have a power play to start OT. Shots 42-12 on the board in favor of GAC...Go Royals!

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

Gustavus wins it in over time 1-0. Bethel couldn't do much in OT

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

Adrian takes out Superior once again...1-0 in the NCHA semis.

Ref's decided that penalties weren't needed after the 10 minute mark of the third. There were several superior players just taken down and nothing called. Superior had a couple that should have been called as well, but there were a couple blatant tackles of UWS players let go.

Michelin played really well. Late in the third she made several great saves.

Fairly disappointed at this point in time :(

Nightmare scenario for Elmira..Adrian wins the NCHA tomorrow. The MIAC schools are all over 500 miles away....which would mean 3 western schools most likely.

Are you thinking Adrian then goes out to RIT and Gustavus and Concordia play a quarter-final?

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

I thought that Adrian goalie hated playing there? "Take one for team"?
Elmira should not get in anyways. I've heard about the #'s and what the NCAA looks at, but don't lose in the quarter finals.
Update in the NCHA has RF 4 LF 0

I really thought if UWS kept them down to one goal that they would win. I thought the blatent tackle of Schulz on a partial breakaway near end should definitely have been called. Its one thing not to make some of the calls in the neutral zone that didn't take away good scoring chances. Really disappointed that UWS was unable to score, they didn't really have a lot of scoring chances on their power plays which in the last few games had been really good. To bad UWS missed the wide open net on one of the PP. Thought both goaltenders had good games and kept the game low scoring. Guess will have to wait for next year. Really sorry that the season is over especially at the hands of Adrian again.

I would assume the Gustavus/Concordia winner probably plays River Falls...but it could could go that way as well. The NC$$ would put a third western team in to avoid flying a team somewhere.

As I posted in the NCHA forum, UWS has a problem winning low, close scoring games. I thought SNC might pull it off last week, but their team really didn't put out its best. It finally got to them. Not seeing Adrian putting together back to back winners this weekend, though.

If Michelin plays like yesterday...then they might. They Adrian goal was such a crappy goal as well....i'd feel better about it if it was a sweet move, good strong goal...but it wasn't. I wonder if they will even play Michelen today or go with Zeches.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

Midd wins 4-1 over Trinity with ENG. Good game, tied 1-1 after 1, Midd 2-1 after 2.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

NSN has completely crashed. Nothing. Website shows a me essays that the site has crashed. So....what's going on at Kreitzburg? NSN is in low esteem right now!

My intellegence indicates Zeches is not likely to be playing today.
