Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - 2010/11

I see the almighty Tigers of RIT took the opportunity to fill in Chatham today 13-1....Classy.

b...b..b...but they were dump ins and shots from bad angles and...w..w...well if they can't handle it they shouldn't have a team....WAHHHHHHH

(the best RIT fan impression I can do)

Uh....anyone alive out there who can shed some light on the goings on in Rhode Island today? Can Norwich only win if Prez is on the road now or what?

No crying here...what do you want them to do? Stop at 12 like Plattsburgh did. See you guys next week.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - 2010/11

Don't blame RIT, blame the Chatham administration for destroying what little albeit significant progress they had made over the last few seasons. They had only given up more than 8 goals in a game 1 time in the previous 2 seasons...and that was the day their hotel burned down before their game against Plattsburgh. They've already given up 10+ 3 times this year.

The powers that be at Chatham should consider themselves fortunate that they still have a league to play in and if they aren't careful it wouldn't surprise me if they don't have one for much longer.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - 2010/11

How about keep Stack off the ice for at least the last 5 minutes....

Their lines have been consistent all year for the most part. (I'm not sure about the Adrian weekend, some players were sitting, Collegehockeystats had different combos)
Stack-Hiller-Epstein/
Dagg-Schlattman-McCrea/
Kunichika-Yokoyama-Zach/

There's 9 of the 12 forwards - who would you like them to sit? Let's try playing the 4th line more, oh wait...they had four goals tonight too.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - 2010/11

Congratulations to Trinity on their 4-2 win today. Not a bad showing with a win and a tie during their long road trip. Go East!

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - 2010/11

This RIT has no class conversation is getting old...we have it every year. 13-1 vs Chatham, 17-1 vs Potsdam.

How about the crazy upsets today

Norwich/Salve Tie
River Falls/SNC tie
St Olaf over St Marys is pretty surprising

Stevens Point/Adrian tie 1-1

It was a good win for them. St Thomas isn't that great in my opinion, but will give them a congrats on the win halfway across the country. Goal with 4 seconds left the difference in the 5 goal 2nd period.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - 2010/11

And more shots in the third period than any other period.

We get it. RIT wants to go D-I and there seems to be this thought that you need to prove you don't belong in D-III by beating up on these teams consistently. So go. Beat up on them. And when you join the CHA and beat up on Syracuse, Niagara and Robert Morris and think you're awesome and end up with a record that gets you into the national tourney, enjoy the pounding you receive from the likes of BC, Cornell and Wisconsin. D-III will be better without the lack of class displayed by the orange and black. 13 goals - whatever, I get it. Goals go in whether you want them to or not in a lot of these cases. The score isn't what bothers me. More shots in the third than any other - that bothers me.

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - 2010/11

Interesting how everyone is busting on RIT for a decisive win over Chatham, and no
comments about RF and SNC tie... Interesting... Some eastern discontent?

Your too new to the board to understand that people on the board consider any western team insignificant to anything the east does.

What's to know? Goalie had a good day. We all know at this point ties hardly hurt the higher-ranked team and they help the lower-ranked team. If the shots weren't the way they were, there'd be more to talk about.

Hard to believe that only one of the 45 shots were good enough to go in. Goalie has a good day and you tie.

Wrong... I've had kids in the game for 16 years. I've followed the forum/board for the last 4 years... Just the silent type... Completely understand the East vs. West, and love the game... Especially the way you all play it! Keep it up... It's enjoyable...

2 for chirping... That's an appropriate name for you! Yep, I'm new to the forum. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm a new parent to the board... And yep... I will keep giving you those updates. If you want to follow me on twitter, just let me know.

Completely agreed... UWRF completely dominated SNC in SOG this weekend. That's RF's game... If anyone has seen RF this year that's the major objective of this squad... They shoot, they shoot, they shoot... They get a ton of traffic in front of the net and it works... But... SNC beat them on the PK and defended well... Shots aren't everything... SNC and RF hit two pipes in OT.
