Lamoureux makes it 4-2 Elmira and then Hamilton answers right back.

4-3 Elmira late in the third.

Kirk scores the fifth for Elmira and Johnston completes the hat trick for EC and the Soaring Eagles win it 6-3 over Hamilton.

Anyone at the game care to comment on the stat lines. Back to the inflated shot count comments from earlier. Its hard to believe that there were 36 shots on goal in the third period. That is more than most games. Is that accurate at all?

Benchmark win for the Knights. No reason to think SNC can't replicate similiar success that the Norwich women's program has had if they keep this up.

Congrats to coach Morgan and his team.

I would say the count was accurate. RF hammered SP's net and SP did put some pressure on from time to time. I think SP had a few power plays as well in which they made most of their 14 shots. Both goalies played very well.

I don't make too many women's games, and don't have a real good handle on the game in general ... but she skated and fought through all 5 opposing skaters and had enough to punch the puck past the goalie. One heck of a individual effort considering the rest of the team was on a change.
