My guess is someone from St. Thomas.

I'm excited to see what Plattsburgh comes out with. There's a lot of new faces, but they had new ones last year and that didn't stop them from going back-to-back.

You're doubting St. Thomas?

You're doubting St. Thomas?

Not necessarily doubting them. Just surprised they got a 1st place vote is all. If you're going to throw a 1st place vote to a western team, I'd think River Falls or Gustavus would be the normal vote.

St. Thomas and River Falls are playing tomorrow. I can't find a link to the game- video or live stats. Anyone know a site that may be carrying it?

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

I see St. Thomas being the team to beat in the west. They return a great core, add two top end transfers and have some outstanding freshman coming in; some real difference makers. Their goaltenders may be young but incredibly talented and they won't miss a beat in that department. UWRF lost a lot of experience on the blue line and really added only one immediate impact freshman. The rest of their newcomers are good but it will take more time for them to contribute at this level than the freshman at UST, several of whom I can see chipping in right away.

I personally wouldn't read much into tomorrow's game. The next time they play it will mean a great deal more.

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

Apparently eventhough the UWS website says that they have a video feed and live stats for the game tonight...they do not.

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

Gustavus turned up the pressure in the 2nd. Quick goal 11 seconds in to tie it and then a power play goal late to make it 2-1 Gustavus.

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

Game ends in a 2-2 tie. UWS had a breakaway at the start of OT, but Hibbert came up with a good save.
