Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

EC leads Utica 1-0 on a goal from Ana Steele-Norton with an assist from Karen Colehour about a minute into the 2nd period at the Utica Aud.

Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

Final
Plattsburgh 4
Chatham 1

Moberg (2), Bowler,and one of the freshmen (sorry:o )

Although Platty still picked up the wins this weekend. Gotta give Chatham credit for atleast keeping it much closer score-wise than in previous years. Keep up the good work ladies and you'll pick up a few more victories here and there.

Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

Elmira leads 4-1 late in the third.

Bresler and Mitchell with the two EC goals in the period and Galuzzi with the lone Utica tally.

Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

With the amount of shots taken by Plattsburgh both days against Chatham, I can only imagine one of two things took place (or maybe both). Either Plattsburgh players can't hit the broad side of a barn or Chatham's goalie extrordinaire Brenn Scott (a Colorado girl) was on fire.

Congratulations to Plattsburgh's Jordan Caldwell (another Colorado girl) on her first college goal.

Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

I'm moving Oswego up in my poll

While Oswego got zero points for their efforts on the weekend, it looks as though the Lakers are continuing to make strides to get better.

Neumann has played some pretty stiff competition so far and been pretty successful, no shame in Oswego's efforts this weekend from the box scores atleast against a pretty solid Neumann squad.

Also, kudos to Oswego's senior forward Jenna Kirkwood for being tied for the national scoring lead at six goals with Lake Forest's Kim Herring and Jessica Dare.

Granted, both Oswego and Lake Forest have played a lot more games than some of the other teams but still an impressive accomplishment none the less for all three individuals and both programs that don't normally get a lot of national attention.

Probably a combination of both. I was a little nervous about where Plattsburgh would get scoring after watching their exhibition game last weekend. The results this weekend haven't encouraged me much. That said, guess we'll know a lot more this coming weekend.

Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

Agreed, but it is really not all that surprising.

Since 2001-2002. GAC has a record of 1-5-2 for the opening game of the season. Look's like that is going to become 1-6-2.

Of course, as always they will go on to win 19 of their next 20.

Say What? Waa, Waa, Waa, Waa, Waa……..ALREADY WITH YOUR SUBTLE DEVALUATION!!!:D Starting a little early this year aren’t we?? I didn't notice, but do tell - did Plattsburgh just win the 09-10 National Championship!

I missed first few minutes so may have missed a PP....UWS 1-2 on PP, GAC 0-2

some pretty big penalties going uncalled both ways...but mostly in UWS favor

Shots 9-4 in favor of GAC
