Re: D1 Scores and Highlights
My understanding is that each has a D-I women's hockey programs because of other sports within their athletic department that are D-I. They want to have some D-I sports, and they want to have a varsity women's hockey team, although at this point, they don't have the resources to commit to playing and competing at the D-I level. This separates them from RIT, that would like to have a D-I women's hockey team, but as of now is not allowed to do so by the NCAA, or Lindenwood, that want's to have a D-I women's hockey program, but is still working on getting there. Holy Cross and Sacred Heart have D-I women's hockey, just not really by choice. At least they have teams, and players get a chance to play. You wanna be a big girl? Then play the big girls.
