D1 Scores and Highlights

D1 Scores and Highlights

So here is a, 'Highlight'.

How does Cornell get all these super stars tumbling in as if all of a sudden?

See below:

(This is from today, "ECAC HOCKEY", entitled, "Weekend Preview: Teams Try To Keep Pace)"

"*Six members of the Cornell women's hockey team have been named to Hockey Canada's Under-22 national team. Goalkeeper Amanda Mazzotta, forwards Chelsea Karpenko, Catherine White, Jessica Campbell and Jillian Saulnier and defenseman Hayleigh Cudmore will represent their home country at the 2012 Meco Cup in Füssen, Germany from Jan. 3-8."

And I say, also, how about, Johnston, Jenner, Fortino, Rougeau, Slobodnick et al? Looks like maybe eleven (11) (super) stars and counting (as I imagine I missed someone(s)?)!

Is Doug Derraugh the only coach with an eye for talent? Magic? I'm just getting used to Fortino, Rougeau, White, Johnston, Jenner etc., et al and here is another unbelievable bunch.

Saulnier? Holy moly!

Who of you KNOW how this is being pulled off by one team.
Is this historic? ? ?
More like basketball, 'dream' team.

Too, I say, Coach HAS to win with so many stars and i remain wondering why it seems Cornell currently seems only ECAC team to lure in these heaps of talent so apparently quickly/suddenly- out of the blue?

I remember when Big Red, decent but not ever l o a d e d as now!

Don't you all :eek:wonder as well?

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

A few surprises tonight...
Wisco wins over RPI, but just barely 4-3
Another Maine comeback, down 4-2 with five to go and tied 4-4 with Brown
Big Green fall at Home to the Saints 2-0
Cornell over Princeton 3-1, another close one, last goal EN.
Crimson over Clarky 2-1

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Not as surprising was Mercyhurst handing Yale a good old fashion whoopin. They love to beat up on the Ivy's...pouring 28 shots at the Bulldogs in the 3rd with a 6-1 lead.

Nice Win Coach! Best of Luck tomorrow!

Providence 3 - Vermont 0 shots 46-22 for Friars. Two of the three PC goals were short handed. Shut out for Lacasse.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

The Bear matchup into OT for a second day in a row.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Crimson and Big red both leading. Clarky ahead of Darty in Hannover.

Cornell leading Quinny 6-0, tender change for Quinny
Harvard leading SLU 2-0
Colgate has tied it up against the tigers after trailing 3-0
Clarky still leading Darty 1-0

All games end of 2nd period.

Cornell won 7-1 over now 2nd place quinny with the only goal coming late in the game as Cornell got into repeated penalty trouble in the 3rd. Quinnipiac looked very disheveled and not very disciplined throughout the game. Cornell's offense was able to capitalize on almost every Q mistake.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

If anyone knows the answer please post. Holy Cross and Scared Heart can call themselves division 1, but why are they included in the div 1 standings when they only play div III teams? Excuse me but, **** or get off the pot. You wanna be a big girl? Then play the big girls.

Waddayutalkingabout  . What Div 1 standings are they included in?. They are not in D1 Rutter, and not in any D1 league. HC is actually part of ECAC East, which is a D3 league.
