First sentence is correct; however, she really wanted to continue playing hockey also. But, looking at the big picture, she will graduate with a Harvard degree.

Got it. Thanks. Too bad but good for her to stay on and get her degree. It will serve her well in the future albeit with the knowledge that she didn't get to see the ice all that often for the Crimson. It happens.

CHA webpage annouces new recruits for Lindenwoods, Penn State, Mercyhurst, and Syracuse....

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I clicked each of those teams in the CHA website banner and none of them have new stories about new recruits.

My understanding was that the exodus is a result of the previous coach being sort of a nut case. I believe the school has made a change, but I think the damage had already been done and players made alternate plans before the school had acted. A lesson to be learned from this is to try and learn as much as you can about the coach before you and your daughter decide which school she is going to attend. Just because they are attending a college doesn't mean that there won't be personality conflicts between players and coaches.

Let's not start another anti-coach thread like the Vermont debacle. There are a lot of reasons players leave and at times when one decides to move on others may also choose to pursue their hockey and non-hockey goals elsewhere. Yes, coaches impact the culture and hockey experience but the players also need to take responsibility to support the program expectations. They need to be skilled enough to compete at this level, willing to work hard every day, and willing to play the role asked of them. Some players may realize that the D-1 level is not right for them and others may be looking for a less competitive and demanding situation, and others may just want a fresh start. Whatever their reasons, good luck to these girls as they move on and also good luck to the program and the players that are committed to making it successful.

Would like to see updated list of recruits, see if there are any players out there that are still uncommitted that would be expected to have commit.
