Looking at the CHA recruiting announcements, there a few names to be added to the updated commitments list.

Darby Kern and Brooke Meyer have been on the roster since it was announced in May. Meyer was the surprise....Kern has been a known commitment for a lot longer than that.

I wonder how much of this has to do with the addition of Julie Chu to the coaching staff? The last few summers, she's been the one scouting the big showcase tournaments I've been at.

I'm guessing it has a lot to do with Julie. She is a wonderful person, incredibly upbeat and positive and an Olympian to boot. Who wouldn't want to take her recruiting pitch seriously? And yes, I'm biased because she's a Harvard grad.

Where is Morgan Madill going who was committed to go to Mercyhurst? And why are players leaving Mercyhurst?

“We will lose six great seniors and Jess (Christofferson) will not play her senior year since she was able to secure an outstanding internship in her major that will run thru late November,” added Sisti. “This is a fantastic opportunity for Jess and was too good to pass up."

In addition, I believe Maine announced Hailey Browne transferred from Mercyhurst.

Yeah they left cause most of them graduated. The rest are cause they were 4th line players and didn't get much ice time. This season the returning and new players better play the best they can or they won't be playing in any games.

Kinda harsh...Sometimes some things are better not said.

Just a game. MANY things decide outcomes. I've seen very good 3rd or 4th line players excel once leaving a coach or team. Everyone see/judge things differently. Some SYSTEMS work better for others.

Christofferson got an internship that she "couldn't turn down".

Where is Morgan Mandill going. She is listed as a Mercyhurst 2012 2013 commitment. Why is she removed. As per Hailey Brown if my memory corrects me she did play for Team Canada. I beg to differ she is a good player.

I was surprised to see Browne on the fourth line. I knew she played for team Canada so I thought she would at least be on third line or higher.

Agreed Minnie. According to Mercyhurst site, Browne did play for Team Canada at 2011 Worlds. From the Mercyhurst game stats for 2011-12, it appears that she was played sparingly by Mercyhurst at first. However that changed in the final dozen or so games of the 2011-12 season. During that span, Browne was on the first line for three games; second line for two games; played on line with Steadman and Bestland at Cornell in February; and was on the checking line for 6 of those final games. According to CHA website, Browne picked up Rookie-of-the-week honors for the week of January 10. UMaine website reports her as one of their committments for 2012-13.

With the the season camps starting up in a few weeks, is there any other unannounced recruits that have not been mentioned thus far? Or is the list pretty much complete? Can anyone confirm?
