Cornell currently has 6 listed, but I believe they have 2 additional commitments for next season.

I do not believe so. Our Gogues is from north of the border. (Not to say she couldn't have relatives in the US, but we'd have likely run into them during the course of her college career.)

OK, Hux's list from the other day had 144 recruits. So my estimate was a little low. If we go with 215 (the high end of the range, because Penn St is building), and add in the handful of recruits just announced, looks like we're looking for another 65 to be announced sometime soon.

There various Ivy commits missing from the list. In general, Ivy recruits tend to be announced later for some schools.

I think this will be a smaller recruiting class because they are replacing a smaller group from 07-08. That group only had about 165. Just a thought.

Someone had reviewed graduations/open roster spots/etc. and speculated that this class would be around 180-195 including PSU. It's getting late to apply if the athlete hasn't already.

Saskatoon Stars announce Lauren Zary........F........ (Saskatoon,Sask.) has committed to Brown University.
Zary is a 4 year veteran with 103 career games played, finished 4th overall in points with 126 and 2nd overall in assists with 82. Zary was also a 2 year veteran of Team Saskatchewan.

Not really. You are off by a year. The 12-13 class is replacing the 08-09 class, which was a standard 210'is number. Never really figured out the anomoly of the 07-08 class. Could have been a byproduct of what happened four years earlier. In the 03-05 era there was a lot of D3 to D1 movement, so it could have been a side affect of that, where prior to 05-06 the numbers were generally lower as there were less D1 teams. Both in 05-06 and 06-07 there were many schools with large incoming classes to the tune of 8 or 9 recruits with one school with a class of 13 in 05-06.

In 05-06, there were 10 schools with an incoming class of 8 or more.
In 06-07, there were 13 schools with an incoming class of 7 or more.
In 07-08, there were only 8 schools with an incoming class greater than 6 and none more than 8.
