D1 Coaching Changes

The rumor was just not accurate and the "student", wherever they reside, should be left out of any rumor. I was just clarifying it was a "student" and not a player on women's team.

It was an individual's action or actions that were deemed inappropriate by the admin. All responsibilities reside solely with the coach. The details, or lack thereof, from the administration, leaves the subject open to such rumor and speculation and that will be their issue to deal with.

haha, noted. Wasn't trying to bore anyone, just trying to make sure info shared was correct. There are enough bad rumors being shared on the men's thread. I didn't think it needed to spill over to the women's. Carry on vicb and shelift.

Replacing Coach Emma Terres-Sobieck who has gone to UMD I believe. I also don’t believe Fryklund would’ve taken this position unless she’ll be taking over for Scanlan when his current contract runs out in 1-2 years (I think).

Blanchard is a 7-time Division III champion at SUNY Plattsburgh, having won the national title twice as the leading forward and five times as the assistant coach to HC Kevin Houle. To give an idea of how successful she was at Plattsburgh, when you combine her 4 playing seasons and 6 coaching seasons Plattsburgh won a championship 70% of the seasons she was associated with the team.

Blanchard replaces Kate Leary, who moved to BC this offseason.

Merrimack confirms the appointment of Danielle Blanchard and also announces the hiring of Austin Prep head coach and Islanders Hockey Club managing director Stephanie Wood (Northeastern '06). Both are announced as assistant coaches.

Keady Norton and Coomey may have a BU connection…I wondered if she was headed to Delaware.

would be surprised but not shocked to see Elander coaching in the PW. seems like a guy who will never fully leave the game.
 
Kinda wonder if Courtney Kennedy might end up at Duluth. I may have dreamed this but I think she might have gotten an offer from them last time around. My brain might have made that up though idk that was a long time ago.
