Given the experiences from MLS, MLB, and the NFL, the start of the season seems to always be a dumpster fire though it can taper off if there are good policies in place AND everyone adheres to them.

That second part is obviously the toughest.

People are so god**** stupid. Tons of old trumpers on my Next door are stating walz is holding back doses to keep his power which he’s drunk on. These people voted for dump- who mishandled everything he possibly could from step 1- and they’re mad about how bad things are.
 
Trump literally lied to the people about the disease for months and is directly responsible for aspect of the cluster[bleep] but Walz is the problem. Why do we fight to save these people?

Such statistics are based on the fact that practically no one in our country perceived the seriousness of COVID immediately. In the meantime, at least something reached the people and the government, the situation took a catastrophic turn. And now we are indignant, but what's the point? Hope for vaccination.

While that *should* be a good plan, the fact that we have such a lying right media, the real issue is that they court of public opinion that any of these people care about does not even recognize that this virus is a problem.

That is just flat out wrong. Plenty of us perceived how serious it was but the Trumpers and their allies chose not to believe it. Dont lay blame on everyone when it has been obvious since March who was to blame.

Those of us that believe in science and stats had this nailed. Those that believe in "American Exceptionalism" and "FREDDUMB!1!!" are the root cause of why we have it so bad now.

Here is an update on the Great Lakes situation: All 7 states turned down on Jan 9th (-/+ 1 day) and are currently on the decline. But let's keep pretending that the curves are shaped by our behavior. Illusion of control... Must be nice...

Since the first vaccine arrived nearly 5 weeks ago...

86% of the vaccine has gone to ages 17-64

And 90% of the deaths have been ages 65+
That's 1,252 of 1,388 deaths in MN ages 65+

ND and SD lead with the most efficient rollout thus far. Tops in the country.

MN is below the national average

and lags its neighbors in both percent of vaccine distributed and percent of population vaccinated. See below.
