the sad part is that article needed to be written at all. That we are expected to just accept increasing cases because "deaths are down" when other countries have almost eliminated new cases.
Why? Because politics. Just because we have a leader that can't admit that he's wrong, or that things he is doing isn't working- we are stuck in an area where the blind supporters of him accept whatever he says, no matter how absurd. So since he's gotten tired of dealing with the virus, everything is "go, go, go". As if the economic impact isn't a big deal when we have a bunch of very sick people in the hospital, or that many people will not travel at all because of the lack of response, and then we have people that are trying to force us to pretend this isn't a big deal.
I really hate where we have gotten, and many of my fellow citizens really embarrass me, and even make me feel shame that we just can't give a crap about people. On another board, I was accused of being polarizing since I thought it was sad that we are being told to accept death for the sake of the economy. Even when someone directly said that's what he wants to do.
jeb- these are preventable deaths. these are preventable hospitalizations (which costs money), this is preventable worker lack of productivity (they are sick). It's amazing that you can't see that it will cost WAY more money in the long run than if we actually prevent further spread of it. All of this can be preventable. We spend money preventing fewer deaths per year, for crying out loud. But you are just too stupid to accept that, apparently.
people like you make me ashamed of being an American. good job.
What a pathetic rant completely void of any reason or coherent point.
are you done blabbering?
