Of course they do

However, an amendment to the package, the PAID Leave Act by Democratic Sens. Patty Murray (Wash.), Rosa DeLauro (Conn.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), which would have closed the package’s gap in temporary paid sick leave protections for employees who work for businesses with over 500 employees, was voted down by 51 Republican senators including Senator Susan Collins.

I even said that at the ER and while it did raise an eyebrow they seemed to go nowhere near COVID-19.

Yup, same deal. I got knocked on my ***** for a solid week and the last week at work was definitely rough as well. I'm a HAZWOPR and I basically told them I felt I wasn't gonna be able to use an SCBA safely.

BREAKING: Counter to some early messaging, new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that younger Americans are at substantial risk of experiencing serious medical problems from the coronavirus sweeping the globe.

"Lots of young people are getting hospitalized, a lot more than we’re messaging, and yes maybe you don’t die, but living with a damaged lung or damaged organ is not a good outcome."

You can't stop a pandemic by lying about it, calling it a hoax, attacking it on twitter, or ignoring it. Which is how he's gotten out of every other mess he's gotten into.

You can't bullsh-t a disease. Dump's whole life is a fraud and as long as other people were willing to go along with it (Republican voters, media, Members) he skated. He was always able to play against some hated Other (Obama, Hillary, liberals, women, POC) to get people to play ball. Or with the money people he just delivered on the Heist.

But here he's run right into the cold equations of science and he can't fake it, so he has no tools. He is utterly exposed. To sum up:

Dump is a fake.

Dump voters are rubes.

Republican politicians who knew better are cynical criminals.

I wish we could prosecute the latter for their willful disregard of the public good. They were negligent and it will cost many lives. They were traitors. And still their moron voters will keep repeating whatever they are told, because they are so cramped with hate.
