Cops: No Snarky Nor Positive Title

And GDPR is no fucking joke. But I'm curious how that applies to the state. I'm not sure I've heard of any government orgs getting sued for violations. Yet. (Again, not saying it doesn't apply, just have no idea how it will.)

For the second straight year, Covid 19 killed more cops than everything else. Combined. Covid claimed 557 cop lives in 2020 and 2021. 288 died from all other causes. Twice as many to Covid-19 than everything else.

That it happened in 2020 may lead to a little sympathy since even those cops that would have taken the vaccine had no opportunity to. That it happened again in 2021 is almost laughable because in every corner of this country law enforcement were the first ones provided an opportunity to get vaccinated.

In fact one wonders how many more people died while doses of the vaccine, set aside for idiot anti-vaxxer cops, went unused instead of being given to other people who would have been only too willing to take the jabs.

The thin blue line.

COLUMBUS CO., N.C. (WECT) - Former Chadbourn Police Chief Anthony Spivey, who is facing dozens of charges related to drug trafficking and embezzling from the police department, now is accused of stealing two catalytic converters.

According to an arrest warrant, Spivey was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with larceny by an employee.

The warrant states that he took two catalytic converters from his employer, M&M Auto Repair, on Dec. 23.

Spivey was arrested in April 2021 and charged with more than 70 offenses. The former chief is accused of repeatedly raiding the police department’s evidence room and stealing a variety of narcotics, thousands of dollars in cash, and firearms.

In June 2021, Spivey was charged with embezzling $8,000 meant for a family whose son was battling leukemia. According to the indictment, Spivey allegedly took money intended for the Buffkin family, who lost their son, Philip Tanner Buffkin, to his battle with leukemia in August of 2019.

Video released of guy Minneapolis pd killed on no knock warrant.

it happened fast. They didn’t announce before going in. Guy wasn’t on warrant, but he had a gun. But also he didn’t know who was breaking in

https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1...330662916?s=21

And he had a license for the gun. But he probably jaywalked once so he deserved it.

Will someone please tell the fucking MPD they don't need to kill Black People all the time. For fuck's sake they were the fucking SWAT team and they were fearing for their life from a dude asleep on a couch? Even if he was the guy they were looking for that is a fucking assassination not an arrest.

No knock warrants need to be outlawed.

I have a friend that lives in that building :^(

edit: weird you can type fuck but you can't add the "'s" to it.

The cops clearly announced even if it was after entry. You can hear them say it multiple times.
So? What is it people like to say....oh yeah, they should have followed the rules.
Is it true per some comments he pointed his gun at them?
They say the murderer was just out of the frame and who he pointed it at, guess we'll find out if they release his bodycam footage.

This is all spoken as if you've never had the popo break into your place while you sleep and come at you with with their guns drawn, what a luxury to not have to process that in a few seconds and make the all the right choices.

It's a small item, and ultimately immaterial, but what I read is that he didn't have a license for the gun. But you don't need one in a private residence, hence the reason he was possessing it legally.

Good point, I mis-read that.
