Cops: No Snarky Nor Positive Title

And people wonder why people are confused and hate the police. Got this from a ex high school classmate from his facebook.

Bought a car and was arrested two days later with title in hand and brand new Insurance card. Apparently it is a FELONY to drive a vehicle in Florida with Expired plates! WOW. After Child Protective Services refused to take custody of my son Derek as they did not feel he was in danger for riding in a vehicle with expired plates Coco Beach Cop continued to berate me over finding next of kin in Florida so he could fulfill his desire to throw this tourist in jail! Had 5 squad cars tied up at one point! Holy Cow Florida tyranny! Ended up cop settled for asking me how much cash I had for a tow (none of your business how much cash I have! even though you pulled out my swim suit pockets after a pat down and cuffs on as tight as possible) and used his towing service (kick back?) I drove the vehicle onto the tow truck (after a sideways look from 81yo tow truck driver) for the 3.5 mile tow to our campsite as I was not allowed to drive the vehicle! Next morning went to DMV via Lyft and was greeted with equal hostility as they will not issue temporary license plate to non Florida Insurance holders even though the policy exceeds Florida minimums and is guaranteed nationwide. Spent the next 35 minutes trying to find someone to help me at GEICO who insisted on arguing with DMV and got as far as I did. Rep agreed that this is nonsense and proceeded to change the PDF file to say Florida instead of Minnesota end emailed it to me. Same Policy Same Coverage Same Address only card now says Florida! So I left the car in Florida instead of driving it for a return Hurrah for Court on July 19th.

The only way I will ever be found at a Disney resort as a childless adult is dead, either ODed in the bathtub or hanging from a ceiling pipe. Because that would be my rock bottom.

Olive Garden in NoDak >>>>>>> Di$neyWorld

(and that is saying something)

Every time someone tells me they are going to DW I think of this:

The thing with Disney is you've gotta expect that you're going to spend money, once you do that they'll jump through hoops to keep you happy.

I like Disney, but I do realize it's not for everyone.

The best part of not having kids is never having to deal with a trip to Di$ney. Watching my friends spend small fortunes to buy dreck made by Chinese kids younger than their kids and stay on the compound is proof God thinks the world is overpopulated! :^)

(see also: Harry Potterland or whatever it is called)

I have never been to Di$neyLand and would like to check that out just for nostalgia. Di$sneyWorld is paying to go to Flo(R)ida and paying to have your bank account raped without lube or even the courtesy of a reach-around.

DisneyLand is still okay because some of the old sh-t still stands, albeit not very well used.

DisneyWorld is best summed up by this quote:

If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.

Sorry, I disagree with everything Handy said. Disney World is 100x better/more fun as an adult with no children.

Sure it cost money. But so does everything.

Disneyland is fine too. Although it has less parks to choose from.

I do too. I love Disney World. Lots of fun. With the kids the first couple of times, and without the kids the last couple of times.

I like Disney. Just the spectacle of it all. I took my nieces in 2012 when they were old enough to not be a nuisance. I had a great time. Ran them ragged. Told them I was spending a lot so we were going to do a lot. None of this "I want to lay out by the pool" nonsense.

Hey man to each their own...I can just think of way better ways to spend my money that don't involve going to Flo(R)ida and dealing with whiney parents and their entitled kids shoveling down 20000 calorie snacks and spreading the Delta Variant! Orlando especially sucks...

;^)

Dude we're already off your lawn.

He Should Have Complied

During a traffic stop last week, an Arkansas sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a teenage boy who was only armed with a neon-blue jug of antifreeze, family members told VICE News.

Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Michael Davis stopped 17-year-old Hunter Brittain near Cabot, Arkansas, at about 3 a.m. last Wednesday, and it’s still unclear why. Hunter had been having trouble with his truck when Davis pulled in behind him outside of a local auto repair shop and flashed his emergency lights, according to the account of a 16-year-old riding with Hunter at the time. When Hunter went to put the antifreeze behind his back tire so his vehicle wouldn’t roll into the officer’s, Davis allegedly fired at him.

“Before he could get there, he was shot in the neck,” Hunter’s uncle, Jesse Brittain, told VICE News. “We can’t begin to understand why he would take a shot at that boy.”

“We’re not going to stop until we have some answers, some justice,” he added.

The boy’s death has since sparked protests outside the sheriff’s office located near Little Rock. A Twitter post briefly detailing the shooting also went hugely viral over the weekend.

Early on June 23, before Davis stopped Hunter, an aspiring NASCAR driver from McRae, Arkansas, the teen had been fixing up his truck so he could make it to work on time, Jesse Brittain said.

White Boy must have had a tan...

My girlfriend's parents have a time share down there and every few years they stash enough points to get their whole extended family a week long stay at one of the resorts. I've only been to actual Disneyworld once and don't need to visit there again, but the whole trip is a ton of fun. I don't have kids either (and my girlfriend's neice and nephew are older teenagers now so no little kids on the trip at all). It's a great time to get drunk in Downtown Disney. Sure it costs $NASA. But whatevs.
