Yes and no. Unless we close down the borders and build Trump's wall, we'll always have immigrants, and immigrants tend to self-segregating either as a matter of cultural comfort or simple economic reasons. As a nation, we'll never be a homogenized population with regards to the color of our skin or backgrounds in general. The great pains we experience in the future may be more like what Germany and France see now. Legally - technically - they're accepting of all people, and they even have laws in place to try stamping out bigoted speech (and though, some might argue), but they still have rampant anti-Semitism and various other issues aimed at people who are either perceived as outsiders or truly are outsiders (i.e. recent Muslim immigrants). Utopia is a dream. We'll figure out our black-white-Hispanic-Asian race issues for those people with long family histories here, but there will always be some group somewhere to draw the ire of another. The reasons may not be appearances, but the people of that future day will find something else.

Interesting idea. Interbreeding is probably still going to minor overall. Cultural assimilation will help. We don't even know who is of German and who is of English heritage these days. But there will always be differences in culture coupled with race that will cause issues.

Racial purity leads to the English royal family. Nobody needs that sh-t.

There are thousands of people packed into the Q in Cleveland right now who hate government and think it is almost universally incompetent. Except for two areas where big tough men carry craploads of firearms, law enforcement and the military. I think the opposite is probably true.

As far as I'm concerned cops like in the linked video are lucky to make it home unscathed at the end of the shift, especially with how things have been going lately. That is NOT the way a civilized society should allow its police to act. If this cop asked me my name I'd have said the same thing. My name is WeAreNDHockey. If he actually would have ASKED for an ID, I'd have shown it to him. What possible reason could the cop have had for acting this way? If he knew the guy was on probation then he knew it was for a non-violent crime. Did he just ASSUME he was a criminal because of where he lived or because of the color of his skin? Or is he an equal opportunity thug who just likes to rough people up and thinks his badge allows him to. Oh wait, silly me, of course his badge allows him to.

When people get pushed and pushed and pushed, time and again, unfairly, eventually they act out. All too often that comes in the form of riots, or worse. Riots are bad and wrong. Shooting some random cop because of what other specific cops did is bad and wrong. I'll not condone any of that, but you better believe I understand completely why it is happening.

At some point white people, if there are enough of us left who are not hopelessly bigoted, will have to join our black brothers and sisters and get this madness to stop. Much like Wendell Pierce has said about the best way to get some immediate and far reaching gun control is for every single black male in the country to apply for concealed carry permits, maybe the rest of society will finally see the abuses black people have been suffering is they see some white faces in the marches. What a horrible thing it would be if that were true. I suspect it might be. Black people shouldn't have to shoot and kill innocent cops to get the bad ones to stop shooting and killing innocent black men. Shame on America for where we are as a nation.

That is flipping disgusting. The cops were in the wrong from the word go. I am sure they are patting themselves on the back though cause they got that dangerous felon off the streets! Poor cop all upset he broke his taser in the evil guy they were arresting without warrant or even asking for id. They should be in jail for assault.

Oh don't worry, they'll investigate themselves and find they did nothing wrong. :rolleyes:

Not to mention, the apologetics will assume the "assailants" (remember, during the investigations, the cop is always the victim) broke the law, because you're perfect if you have the magic badge. :rolleyes:

The call I guess was about a suicidal man with a gun. It was a toy truck and the caretaker even said that to the cop.

This is getting beyond ridiculous. Shooting a gun should be a last resort...this isnt an action movie.

Gee, a generation or two of films dedicated to this, coupled with the fact that many of those in the academy (at least in a few towns around me) were the town bullies, and couldn't amount to anything useful because they were too busy picking on those amounting to something useful...

Without following the link, I have a feeling that if that guy's angry most reasonable people aren't going to be.

Edit: oh lord, it's even stupider. It's not even BLM, it's parents of people who were murdered. Because if we ignore police brutality it isn't real. Hillary is causing police brutality by acknowledging it.
