InconsistantWe have no physicality on the ice. We get *****ed off the puck as if we are mites.
There was an article in the state news today about the Cold War and it's significance. There was a quote from Hollis that I found strange and somewhat telling. He first mentions being surprised that the Cold War game sold out, which is fine because it was a novel idea and nobody was sure what to expect. He then says that he never expected everyone to actually stay and watch the entire game...uhhhhh
Like he didn't think it was actually going to be exciting or any sort of truly special event or something. Quite a little window into how our current athletic director may feel about the importance of our hockey program.
It might not have any sort of significance at all but I know that some around here have been quite critical of Hollis' handling of hockey matters so i thought i would share it.

EDIT: Besides that, it was an interesting article, nevertheless.
Are you sure Hollis isn't seeing MSU basketball v. Oakland at the Palace as tomorrow's 800 pound gorilla? If he had related having those feelings today it would be more disturbing to me. My hope is that he's come 'round. Since for him tomorrow's game is the 800 pound gorilla, perhaps the outcome will greatly affect his agenda over the offseason.

I stand corrected. As a fan I feel as if I am out there with the team. Sorry for the over exuburance. I have no knowledge of the "inner wokings" of practice. I just base my opinions on the on-ice product.
How Izzo's squad rebounds from last tuesday is of the utmost importance to the image of our university!
I can just imagine him being there and thinking "wow, everyone actually wants to stay and watch an entire hockey game? I figured most would have left at halftime."
Oh well, maybe we are wrong about our assumptions.

Tried to have fun, couldn't see crap, and had a really awful experience.I blame the new uniforms.
But i attended. I will detail my experiences later.

You know, I don't want to be one of those "Fire Comley!" guys. I really don't. I genuinely like the guy. But, for this group of kids - who were playing in the biggest game of their lives in front of a huge audience in attendance and watching at home, mind you - to play so horrendously on such a huge stage, I mean, as a fan... what am I supposed to think? It seems like we're regressing game-to-game.
This season is infinitely more frustrating than '08. This is a horrendous hockey team with good talent.
Several tings over the weekend.
1. I thoroughly enjoyed the Event.I could not see the game(in hind sight a Bargain!) I thought it was great support for the sport.
2. The game was as I expected. The Spartans can't play against this team as constructed. The game plan is so skewed that my dog could do better.
3. Who is Hollis? (pardon me I am new to this state and don't know all the players.)
4. As I watched I saw the team wither and fade out of the game. There seemed no inspiration from the top. These boys all have worked extremely hard to get to this point in their careers and it's a shame that they seem to get no support from the coaches.
