College Football V: Bowls Are Done; Carry On My Wayward Sons

Re: College Football V: Bowls Are Done; Carry On My Wayward Sons

He's 62 years old? Jesus, what a loser. I could see a college kid doing this and you could pass it off as being a dumbarse. But a 62 year old man? How pathetic.

62 year old redneck, it's like dogs, they age and mature at different rates than most of us

He has two sons. One named Crimson, the other named Bear...

What a freak!

Re: College Football V: Bowls Are Done; Carry On My Wayward Sons

If you have time, just google Auburn or Alabama football message board and read away... Holy crap. Also crazy to see the facebook profiles/groups that have been created on this NUT. What a tool.

There seem to be rumors on many of the team boards right now (started on Scout then was post on MGoBlog and is making the rounds now) that a major university might be hit with some serious sanctions and that it is not who we expect. I am sure that pleases the NCAA if true :D

For as much crap as I give journalists for doing hack jobs on video game stories, they might be outdone by the hackjobs regarding legal stories.

"A ruling by a federal district court of appeals" - What the hell is a district court of appeals? Is it too much to ask that you get the lead sentence of your story correct?

As to the substance: meh. It still is going to come down to whether or not their likenesses are actually used or not. This gives added weight that a person retains ownership of their own likeness. But the EA/NCAA suit has always been about whether a number and stats, but no face or name, constitutes a likeness or not.

Should we take bets on which one?

Early favorite seems to be the Fighting Drunks...err Irish though I doubt that. Personally I pray it is tOSU because seriously Sweatervest gets away with too much.

Wouldn't surprize me too much if it was OSU. They're far too SEC for my tastes anyways.

I'd put money on Iowa if we're going with "who we don't expect" I expect Ohio State to be dirty. Iowa's got this habit of stonewalling their local media on the smallest of things, and usually no one else cares.

I'd put money on a Big East team...who would expect them to be that bad if the whole time they were trying to be an SEC team? My money's on UConn.

I'll put my money on one of the military academies. Probably West Point.

Hey, it's someone we don't expect, right?

Re: College Football V: Bowls Are Done; Carry On My Wayward Sons

They are all paying their players.

Granted, it's legal for the service academies.

I am biased so I left them out of my post. I hate Iowa. :D

I know who I think it is.... ;)

I'm thinking Big12. eehhhhhh, how about Oklahoma State. Bam, that's my guess. T. Boone Pickens has too much money to not do something wrong with it.
