If you guys are going to make fun of the cornbowl, then there's need to riddicule my home state's bowl game. The Humanitarian Bowl has been named the Idaho Potato Bowl.

Although, when I cringed at the new name, I really thought "why is the potato the butt of jokes?" Counldn't find an answer. But it is.

Think of the headlines- Team was Mashed in the Potato Bowl. Player X fries the D in the Potato Bowl. Dumb play earns coach Mr Potatohead.

And so on.

So if my team has a winning season, 100% chance they will play in the Potato Bowl. Yea, baby.

Sports Radio is hilarious. I was driving home from work last night at 2am when Rob from Wisconsin called, and he has been a lifelong fan of the U, and reports "that slowly the "U" story is falling apart." Trust him he says. "In 5-6 months the truth will come out."

Between this and the new Nebraska-Iowa thing, Iowa, you're officially no longer to name or create things. I personally feel this should be extended to the entire Big Ten, but it's a start. This **** makes the entire midwest looks bad. We're legends, leaders, and we like to make statues of families.

Edit: Given that this is the "Land-Grant" trophy someone made up in an effort to make it seem like Michigan State and Penn State have a rivalry, someone needs to drown whoever in the BT offices is coming up with this crap. Just stop. If it isn't at least 100 years old, it's not a rivalry in Big Ten country.

Orrrrrrrr, we take it the other way...every single game is played for a trophy...it will be like youth soccer, both teams get a trophy. Think of the fun coming up with names for games when an SEC team plays a multi-directional 1AA team...they could play for the Pimp-Ho Trophy one week and the This Is Gonna Hurt You More Than It Hurts Me Trophy, the next week.

Temple vs. Villanova...the Billy Penn trophy (no other PA trophy can be taller than this one)

BC vs. Umass - the Bulger Cup (you win it and then spend 15 years looking for it)

Every game against Penn State can be the Ensure Trophy.

That would be awesome, because every player would have to play. Make those scholarships worth it.

every year, have to take home 12 new trophies, even with an 0-12 season. Well, there would be no losers, right? Can't hurt their feelings and all.

Miami and Florida International can play for the "Glock 9 Trophy" which is simply a gold plated Glock mounted to a base that looks like a spinner rim. The Glock will be fully functional and loaded, of course.
