15-7 South Carolina over Florida at the half, and Senile Lou thinks it's over.

I saw a number of tweets about this. Did he say Florida has no chance to come back, or did he really think the fourth quarter had just ended?

God, I can't believe I'm defending Holtz, but I think he may be referring to Florida's 9 minutes of possession, 2 first downs, 51 yards, and zero points outside of the opening kickoff return.

No one tell him, because I don't want him spitting in my direction.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Nice to see Auburn players acting classy as SEC West Champs. Two players kicked out for throwing punches. Haha!

Hence why everyone wants Bama to kill them in Tuscaloosa to create BCS anarchy and take them down a peg.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

I wonder if the hostilities by Auburn wasn't caused by all the potshots being taken on an Auburn player while he was on the ground? No excuse for sure, but I thought the refs were very nice to Georgia.

In other news, struggling financially, Michigan's State Senate was very frugal in the use of taxpayer money by renaming a stretch of Michigan highway after Mark Ingram.

If I were a taxpayer in Michigan, I'd be apalled. Certainly the Senate has better things to do?

I know it's a tough angle and all that, by that is an inexcusable miss.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Oh and stop the presses, Minnesota (2-9) won and ended their 9 game losing streak. That's 2 wins, both on the road.

That game and the Iowa-Northwestern games both had fun endings to watch- great games today in the B10. Too bad the wheels came off of Penn State's effort- that could have been fun, too...

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Hopkins redeems himself from his 40 yard miss with 7 seconds last week with a 55 yarder that would have gone from 65 or 70 to beat Clemson 16-13.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Games of the week next Saturday:

Wisconsin @ Michigan
Nebraska @ Texas A&M
Virginia Tech @ Miami

Have to believe Gameday will be at one of these three locations.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Illinois got Zooked again with ****-poor end-game time management. Minnesota is inside the 10 yard line, with two timeouts, and no longer has Tim Brewster as coach. The odds of them running out of time before they run out of downs is 0.00%. Instead of using timeouts to preserve a little bit of time for a final drive, Illinois ran out of time on their final possession while still having a couple timeouts in their pocket. And as it turns out, you don't actually get points for having timeouts remaining when time expires.

Those are all decent, I was wondering if they might go with Harvard-Yale though, just for a change of pace.

The ABC primetime games suck. FSU @ Maryland, USC @ Ore State. Ohio State is at Iowa, but the Hawkeyes' loss diminishes their game. ESPN might go to NYC for Notre Dame vs Army.

Ha! Yeah, right. That would be totally awesome, but it won't happen.

Well, I was sort of right. They did go for something off the board, but they're going to Wrigley Field for Illinois-Northwestern.

Gameday going to Illinois-Northwestern...***?

Yeah, Harvard-Yale would have been pretty good.

eh, its different alright.

And a halftime score from the UMD-Mankato game that got bumped to today due to snow, 14-13 Mankato in Marshall. UMD seems to be playing a bit tight, and just havent put it in the endzone like they should today. And Mankato should invest in a tarp!
