Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

The ESPN3 feed is actually ahead of ABC in the USC-Stanford game.

USC leads 35-34 thanks to a missed PAT by Stanford....

1:08 left.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

There's something wrong about the idea of USC winning a game on a missed PAT when they've been going for 2 for the hell of it half the season.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Game Day will be in Madison next week for the Wisc-OSU game.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Ok, timeout, set up the field goal with a run to where the kicker wants it. Timeout at 4 seconds. Win the game. Easy peasy.

That was the most difficult path to 4 seconds I have ever seen in my entire life...

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

USC loses 37-35 on a last-second field goal...AGAIN

Phew.

Lane's going to have to fire his dad in a weird reverse mirror of 2006 Florida State.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

You don't storm the field when you are the overwhelming favorite...

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

PAC-10 teams are going to storm the field on USC for about 5-10 years regardless. It took that long to get ACC teams to stop storming the field on 7-6 Florida State teams for the 90's blowouts.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

I seriously think you should remove Minnesota from any of those games on the big ten's record. They simply aren't worthy of being considered a big ten team.

In my NCAA11 dynasty, I moved them to the MWC to make room for Nebraska :p

If I removed Minnesota from the B10, then people would insist I drop Iowa State from the B12 or Duke from the ACC...

Or the entire Big East from existence.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

I wish there was a way to move teams in that game.

It's a big drawback, especially for long term dynasties. I've seen people try to shoehorn the Integer into the B12, but then you end up with the winner playing in the Fiesta instead of the Rose, and the other bowl games are messed up. Hopefully that will be changed in future versions.

Wait, what? I think I missed something here. How do they force the B10 into the B12...?

Also, IIRC, the new rules for the rose bowl require them to take a non-B10 team if a B10 team is in the BSChampionship.

11 teams + Nebraska. They just swap out teams and put the B12-Nebraska in the B10.

If a B10/Pac10 team qualifies for the title game, they can pick anyone who qualifies for the BCS...more often than not the Rose will take a less than deserving B10 team *cough* Illinois *cough* over higher-ranked teams.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Right but how do you swap teams...? Conference games are locked so you can't change those games.

Edit: Also, the rose bowl is now required to take non-bcs conference teams that qualify for the BCS games if a B10/P10 team make the BCS championship.

Before you start the dynasty you can create custom conferences. You can only do it when you create the dynasty...once you advance conferences are set, unless you are a lesser team and get invited the a BCS conference. And the swapped teams get each other's schedule (so if you move OSU out of the B10, whoever gets swapped in will play their last game against Michigan). Be aware switching teams can screw up rivalries (important for recruiting).

I always switch BC and USF to put BC back in the BE where they belong. :p

Edit: Illinois qualified for the BCS as the 14th team, but the Rose Bowl passed over a bunch of more worthy teams to retain the B10/Pac10 matchup.
