Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

That Red River Rivalry has lost a lot of luster today.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

What did he do, besides beat the holy hell out of them?

Called a timeout with 30 seconds left when Notre Dame was trying to score. Brian Kelly refused to let anyone out toolbox him, though, by calling timeout with 5 seconds left.

Unless he's complaining about the 2 pt conversion with the score 25-6 after a 5:40 drive of 49 yards.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

all of the above

and you don't kick a FG when you're up by 20 with under 2 minutes to go in the game

And if he goes for it and they score a TD he's just as evil...

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

No. You call a running play. If you score, you score. You don't line up for a FG.

You do if you want to humiliate the Golden Domers in their own house. :)

???

We don't seem to fault the big teams running up the score on small teams, why is it so bad when big teams do it to each other? We call that what's needed to be done for the BCS.

But if someone does it to USC or Notre Dame- it's all of a sudden evil?

I don't get that hypocracy.

He should have gone for the touchdown- he's trying to get people to take Stanford seriously.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

That's not a touchdown! You have to maintain possession!

Now come on. Wisconsin only won by 67....

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

So is Rick a jerk for running it up against a high ranked Texas??

Sorry- if Notre Dame requires the other coach to do something to not make them look bad, that's their problem, not the other team. You must play the entire game.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Run up the score against anyone as much as possible, its supposed to be competitive, who cares if you hurt the other teams' feelings. If they don't like it, they can take up theatre.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

LSU up 17-0 on West Virginia. I know Miami's been the only ACC team for two weeks now. Has a BCS conference ever had 0 top 25 teams, because the Big East is about a half away.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Things are getting ugaly between the hedges.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

And that was a painful sequence for Auburn.
