Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

How does a play like the Clemson INT work? If momentum carries you into the endzone, it's a touchback?

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Auburn's Left Tackle literally just took off the Clemson DE's helmet off, and nothing.

Yuck, Auburn scores. Clemson needs to do something with their next drive or this could turn badly for them.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

MSU threatening to tie it up with about three minutes to play in the first half.

They score and it's 7-7

As an outside observer, he shouldn't have survived the North Dakota State loss in my opinion....

That was his first year with a crap team and that Bison team was very good. The loss to USD was much much worse.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Musburger and Herbstreit are falling all over themslves to justify a bogus PI call that could shift momentum in the Clemson-Auburn game. Why not just say: "The official missed the call"? Herbstreit went so far as to say "they'll call that every time," which is a completely absurd statement.

And in a game that nobody saw but me . . . William and Mary misses 3 FGs, but wins the battle of Hampton Roads anyway, 21-17 over ODU.

In related news, apparently the CAA will be that much more stacked when ODU joins next year.

Dear Brent,

Boise is in Idaho, not Montana.

See attached map.

But you feel free to go to Montana next week and send someone else to call the game.

Thanks.

"We called a penalty on an SEC team in an SEC stadium...we talked it over and now we're calling the penalty on the ACC team."

Auburn wins.

Auburn wins.

It was an ACC Crew, and they made the correct call.

As a Clemson fan, that was fairly typical of how they handle close games, especially against top competition.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

The Gophers late touchdown allowed them to beat the spread. I wonder if bigblue_dl lost any money on that? :)

This is why I'm glad I don't gamble. I would've put money on USC all day and that TD would have just infuriated me. A complete garbage and meaningless TD that would've cost me all sorts of money.
