College Football 2021: Cash is King

Lets be realistic, for the most part, it's a pretty weak conference. One or two good teams dominate, and nobody can surprise them. Not that the best teams are not really, really good. It's just that the rest of the conference, well....

How dare you. The 14th Best Team in the SEC is the 14th Best Team in the Country!!! Rabble, Rabble, Rabble!

The Washtenaw County Weasels are 6-0.

Pretty sure they lose against Northwestern or similar before getting stomped by Ohio State.

By Harbaugh standards, that's an above average year.

To be honest, this is a very different team, and the progression for the season is very un Harbaugh so far. I don't expect them to win the B1G, but actually see the team improve is kind of nice. Can they fill the holes where there are problems will be interesting to see. So far, there's clear progression on offense, and some progression on D- but Nebraska exposed some serious problems.

Previous years, you would still see the issues that were in game one- where passing was clearly lagging the receivers- indicating a problem from practice to game. But that's been addressed so far for both QBs.

Long way to go, for sure, but better than the last few years (and especially last year).

I'd never heard of this so I looked it up. The first five search results were about COVID.

Google must be manipulating the results- they know you are looking for that info. When I put in "Washtenaw County"- I get a lot of county info and no COVID info. Then again, I live here.

Any news of COVID for my search does not come up until page 3. Which is a facebook link to our country health department.

I get a lot of things about a lady biting someone going to trial.

Washington State ex-coach suing the school for "illegal termination."

Does he want the job back, or is the contract voided by the terms of his termination?

(If his contract is still paying him for a few more years, I wonder if he'd like to take over an FCS programs in another northern tier state that could use a coach willing to score 30 or more points every week. Asking for a friend ... )

OU and Texas moving may have killed off Conference USA.

Big XII took UCF, Cincy, and Houston from the American.

The American just took Charlotte, FAU, North Texas, Rice, UAB, and UTSA from CUSA.

Reports that the Sun Belt will take Marshall and Souther Miss from CUSA, and possibly Old Dominion from CUSA and James Madison from FCS as well.

If that happens, CUSA would be left with five.

There also reports that CUSA may be looking at… Liberty. The team the NCAA had to give an exemption to move up because no conference wanted them.
