College Football 2021: Cash is King

Now I'm actually curious what happens if you take out the best and worst teams from each conference what their average end of year massey composite is.

I did a quick check and he only lists conferences back to like 2009. So not super helpful.

As for Massey, I don't really trust their ratings (they had the Big 12 as the top conference in college football to start this season, IINM...with "Independents" being ahead of everyone else except the SEC). However, I definitely support attempting to use facts and data to support an argument, as opposed to arguing like a four year old.

It's data based on predictive ratings at week 0. Week 0 matters almost as much as the Iowa straw poll.

keep in mind, I'm using the composite, not the Massey ratings system.

I was just providing an example. We could go back through prior Massey/composite ratings and find flaws. In fact, I believe we have had that discussion before. But again, at least Massey is based on facts and data...which I respect a whole heck of a lot more than the type of arguments that Kindergarteners would use at recess.

Hey hey hey I'm the Arkansas is your favorite second team guy around here!!
That goes back to the time spent living in Kansas in the 60's and following the SWC. I despised the longhorns(still do)and followed a team that flat out hated them. Really enjoyed Frank Broyles.
Gotta admit they'll have there hands full "between the hedges" in Athens next week.

Even though it was only overrated(again)Notre Dame, Cincinnati had a very good road win for the 2nd week in a row(Indiana last week). Just found out Sandy Koufax attended the U of C.

So since UK just went 5-0 to beat 3-2 #10 Florida, might as well put them in the top 5. They are SEC afterall.

Crazy day that Sanford knocked off #3 Oregon, which may put Pedo St at #3 at the end of the day. Maybe Cincinnati will end up in the top 4.

The important thing is that the Oregon fans are handling the loss with the usual maturity and class that has earned them the overwhelming respect of their contemporaries.
