Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

AP Poll is out

1. OSU
2. TCU
3. Bama
4. Baylor
5. MSU
6. Auburn
7. Oregon
8. USC
9. Georgia
10. FSU

Like the coaches poll, Wisconsin is the only other Big Ten team in the Top 25. 8 SEC teams.

Minnesota's big for #1 thise season is going to be tough as they open against #2 TCU. Just so long as they don't take a giant #2 against #2, I think most local fans will be happy.

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

FSU's Dalvin Cook found not guilty of battery. Trial included 25 minutes of deliberation.

Dude had a deathwish. that's a non starter right there to the Blue Mafia out there. And how assinine of an idea was that deck shuffling idea?? How in the hell are fans going to be able to plan out their gamedays when they have no idea of who they're going to be playing, either home or away even if they're not listed on the schedule?

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

Dave was always about the money. Always, always, always. Which is what got him in trouble.

Wanted a "Michigan Man" for cheap- got Hoke. Wanted to charge the students more money- which lost money due to less sales. And tried to make that up by selling to everyone else who used to be interested- but forgot that the program is what sold the tickets- by gutting that, well....

It's not he was all bad- managed to get the funding for a lot of new athletic facilities, some of which got under construction this year.

But when you focus so much on money, and lose sight of so much- well, that's what you get. And now we have to deal with it.

Martin did similar mistakes.

They saw how much Don Canham meant to the bottom line, but forgot that he built the money based off of INTEREST, not just greed. He took advantage of a good thing he built. And even that wasn't perfect- but at least he figured it out.

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

Buckeye Noah Brown broke his leg in practice today. Brown was expected to be a go-to wide receiver this year. Instead, he'll miss the entire season.

Yeah, injuries are a part of football. And no, I don't know the particulars. But somehow the "friendly fire" scenario is especially disappointing...

It looks like it goes beyond his treatment of injured players. He was a jerk to all of his players, even trying to scam scholarship cash back to the program by telling seniors their spring term wasn't covered because they're no longer on the team.

Someone let their kid on that campus? That's poor parenting.

I can't believe they sent Musberger to call the NDSU-Montana game.

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

Wouldn't be the first.

Et tu? Not one player or coach on the football team was even here back then, but you have to take a simple feel-good story and turn it upside down.

Re: College Football 2015-16: The Big Ten Rises

Yes, this is the first time in the history of college athletics that opposing fans have made fun of a school for past indiscretions that the current players and coaches had nothing to do with. It is both shocking and revolting to me that people would do this, again for the first time ever.
