Yeah but I believe the Fiesta was required to take them. Also Iowa lacks the underdog appeal. You can see Kansas over Missouri two years ago as an example of Bowls ignoring head to head results in selection.

Ah, and Cal has forgotten the season didn't end with the big game. Down 21-3 at the half. This is par for the course for Cal football. Awesome.

That's great, but Boise doesn't sell hotel rooms and fill bars and restaurants. Iowa does. Penn State does even more. Don't forget, the Rose Bowl took Illinois.

It's all about $$$$$

The Rose Bowl took Illinois because they'll take any eligible Pac-10 or Big-10 team available if they lose one to the BCS title game to keep the "flavor" of the game.

Edit: I believe they threw an epic ****-fit when the Orange Bowl snatched Iowa in '02 for a USC-Iowa game and left the Rose with Oklahoma.

Good start for the two underdog teams, INT for Nebraska and Clemson goes up 7-0.

Yeah, the Rose Bowl wasn't a great example. Missouri/Kansas is a better one.

It's kind of a meaningless game, but I'm half-watching South Florida at Connecticut, and I've seen their QB fall on his *** with no one within 10 yards and a PR fumble the ball.

Southerners that have never seen snow= win.
