Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Verne and Gary sound pretty clear-voiced for having Tebow's junk in their mouths.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Nick Sabin or Tim Tebow, who do I dislike more?

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Wow, what a crazy game in Pittsburgh.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Alabama shows the proper way to defend the zone read option. All the more reason for Jimbo and FSU to throw oodles of money at Smart.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

What is with the F-ugly Gator uniforms?

Those helmets, no teeth, they're just ... F -ed. That ain't right.

And while I'm ranting, could UF pick a logo:

Block F (like on their home midfield) or Motion F (on today's helmet).

They are new uniforms being worn by about 10 teams last week and today...they're supposed to be higher performance (whatever that means) but Florida's are ugly. LSU's aren't bad.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Not sure how you can say basically plain white uni's are ugly.

You can not like the helmet logo, but the uni's themselves are fine.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

His team looks just like Gary Darnell's Broncos did in 2000 when he spent the leadup to the MAC title game thinking more about possible jobs in North Carolina and Texas A&M than beating Central Michigan or Marshall.

He's mentally been in South Bend since Weis cleared out his fridge.

In retrospect, fairly funny.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

That botched snap might have cost Pitt about $10,000,000 in a lost BCS game. Expensive extra point.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

So we have a minimum of 4 undefeated teams this year, with Texas as a possible 5th.

Boise St., TCU, Cincinnati, Florida/Alabama winner.

What's strange is that after that, there is no 1-loss (other than FLA/ALA loser) teams. Everyone has 2 or more.

It makes the at-large BCS bids more interesting, and gives BSU/TCU a chance to both get in.

BCS Title Game - Fla/Ala winner vs Tex (if they win)
Orange Bowl - Clemson/Ga Tech winner vs ???
Fiesta Bowl - Nebraska (if they beat Tex) vs ???
Rose Bowl - Ohio State vs Oregon
Sugar Bowl - Fla/Ala loser vs ???

Big East has no bowl affiliation that I can see, so Cincinnati will get in, but not sure where.

Edit: Looking at the BCS rankings, LSU is really the only non top 10 team that could jump up to steal a spot. Since the computers love them, and only the voters are keeping them out.

If Texas loses, they'll supplant Boise State... And might go to the Fiesta, Iowa/Penn State would go to the Sugar.

God the Pac-10 couldn't be more poorly officiated. Thanks for screwing us you worthless zebras.

Just like this:

The only guy that likes that nearly all white look on Florida is 926 year old Joe Paterno.

Florida's blue and orange uniforms are better, easily.

I'm getting tired of all of these multiple uniforms and uniform combinations. It's getting to the point where you can't recognize who's really playing.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

You have tickets to the Holiday bowl?

Nope. The U of A TD was scored on brutal offensive PI, the Trojans drive before that was stalled because of a holding call that didn't exist...even though U of A held the entire game.

The last Trojans drive stopped even though a guy hit our WR about 2 seconds before the ball got there....no flag.

LSU can't go the BC$ because of Alabama and Florida.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Hah. Good plays by Alabama's QB are "Tebow-esque."

These announcers are worse than Pam Ward.

Edit: What a drive.
