Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Just like this:

The only guy that likes that nearly all white look on Florida is 926 year old Joe Paterno.

Florida's blue and orange uniforms are better, easily.

I'm getting tired of all of these multiple uniforms and uniform combinations. It's getting to the point where you can't recognize who's really playing.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

The good news is it looks like Florida is going to lose.
The bad news is it looks like Alabama is going to win.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

LSU can't go the BC$ because of Alabama and Florida.

Ahh then it seems pretty clear who the teams will be.

Texas Wins:
Clemson/Ga. Tech winner
Florida
Alabama
Texas
Cincinnati
Ohio State
Oregon
Iowa
TCU
Boise St.

Texas Loses:
Clemson/Ga. Tech winner
Florida
Alabama
Texas
Cincinnati
Ohio State
Oregon
Nebraska
TCU
Boise St./Iowa

I had to look it up: John 16:33 - "Bad tidings! A big elephant will roll over your 3rd straight national title hopes."

Penn State. I know Iowa won in Happy Valley, but if the bowl people think more fans will make the trip from Pennsylvania than Iowa, they'll take Penn State.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

SEC Champion: Alabama
Big 10 Champion: Ohio State
Pac 10 Champion: Oregon
Big East Champion: Cincinnati
ACC Champion: Georgia Tech/Clemson
Big 12 Champion: Texas/Nebraska
Highest ranked non-BC$ school: TCU
At-Large: Florida

If Texas wins the Big 12, they will be in the title game and there will be two at-large berths. If they lose, they will take an at-large berth, leaving only one. Nebraska and Clemson must win to get a BC$ berth. Georgia Tech might be eligible even if they lose.

Competing for the 1 or two BC$ spots are:
Boise State
Iowa
Penn State
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech?

Maybe Miami, if they somehow crack the top 14.

"That's classy."

What?

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

As much as I don't like the press he gets, hats off to a stellar and admirable 4 years to Tim Tebow. No doubt he had 4 great years and is a person that young football players can look up to for sure.

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

I'd find it extremely difficult for the NCAA to take a 3-loss Ga Tech (clemson win)/Va Tech/Miami, 2-loss Iowa/Penn State over an undefeated Boise State.

Especially in the case of Penn State which Priceless is trying to sell me, considering their schedule may have been even crappier than Boise had.

Why are you posting PCM's guest appearance on "Weekend Update" in this thread? Because he remembers when Joe Paterno was an up-and-comiing coach? :D

Re: College Football 2009: Bowl College Stupidity Rankings

Wonder if Tebow's going to cry every time the NFL team he holds a clipboard for loses.

Sadly I think he might be right. The BCS bowls have never really cared about selecting the best available team. They want the most marketable one.

Boise beating Oklahoma seemed pretty marketable to me, as they are still showing those highlights as recently as well today.
