Re: College Footbal 2009: Anybody want to be in the Top 5?

Snake Oil! Roy Roundtree with a 45 yard TD reception puts Michigan ahead 24-10 with 8:00 left in the 2nd quarter.

Roundtree was the player who was verbally committed to Purdue but switched to Michigan on signing day two years ago that led to Joe Tiller's infamous "guy in a wizard hat selling snake oil" remark about RichRod.

Too bad they were ourscored 28-12 in the second half. Missed extra point (and obviously the pop warner defense) costs them the game, 38-36.

Navy secondary on the Irish receivers like white on rice.

Re: College Footbal 2009: Anybody want to be in the Top 5?

The SEC is really stepping up and playing some powerhouse non-conference games today.

Hammer...according to the College Football Data Warehouse, the AP chose before the bowls until 1964 and the coaches until 1973. The 1948 final poll was released, with Michigan as the champions, on November 30, 1948, and I have a hard time believing they would choose the Gophers as Champions in 1960, which they did, after they lost to Washington in the Rose Bowl.

If only TBA was a GTech fan, the last 3 pages would be nothing but complaining about officials. Kinda one sided right now...

I've misread something horribly. I stand corrected.

Claussen fumbles at the goalline and he's not sure if he's in South Bend or Bermuda.

21-7 Navy, end 3

Hammer...I feel like my last post came off as a bit mean-spirited, I apologize if it did. A couple D2 notes...UMD beats Winona and SCSU pulls off a shocker for the Travelling Training Kit against number 4 Mankato. This gives UMD the outright conference title and keeps very very slim playoff hopes alive for St. Cloud. Mankato should still make the NCAA tournament despite the loss.

GTech just woke up. tie game. Take that, zebras.

I really thought that the Texas-UCF game was stellar. It's good to see the Big 12 doing their job too.

Not to defend Texas, but at least UCF is from Conference USA, a Division I-A conference, and had a winning record entering the game. The SEC is playing division I-AA Furman, Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee Tech and Northern Arizona. Kudos to Tennessee for manning up and playing fellow Conference USA also-ran Memphis, and its outstanding 2-6 record.

True enough, but still, pretty weak sauce out of Texas.

Notre Dame sucks, unreal, bye bye Charlie

Re: College Footbal 2009: Anybody want to be in the Top 5?

Maybe the Heisman the announcers were discussing for Clausen was a bit premature

Navy sinks Notre Dame's BCS hopes.
