Pretty disappointed about a Tuesday Cornell game. Holding out hope to catch the first game and then make it into Hamilton a couple more times towards the 2nd half of the season.

Colton Point selected in the 5th round of the NHL draft by the Dallas Stars. I'd take that as a good sign.

Thanks flaggy ! I haven't been able to log on for a week here. I can finally access the webcam of the new rink. Looks beautiful, scoreboard is about nine feet tall by maybe twelve feet wide, four sided for replays etc.
September will be tough, no home football, then football and hockey Oct 1. Lots of hockey home in October but three home football in November. I will try to get the new thread up in a few weeks. Enjoy summer !

Is there a separate site? They seem to have removed the interior cam from the main site that was posted a couple months ago...

It's the same site... they've got a note at the bottom of the page saying they're having problems with the interior camera "due to construction." It was up briefly last week, has been down for a while now. Drove by this morning on my way out of town, pretty exciting to see it taking shape... including ripping up the old parking lot, which will be completely repaved. Good for both football & hockey!

Gate83 you sure get around, lol. So I assume parking will be the same for hockey and football ? Any parking on the east side of the rink ?

As far as I could tell parking will be the same. Maybe more spaces with the paving? In the season ticket stuff it looks like that will be a paid lot now for hockey, free parking everywhere else.

When I bought my season tickets over the phone, they said ppl will be asked to come in one day in August to pick their seats. Do I really have to be there in person? Is this done by lottery, anyone know? FWIW the master plan has new parking lots constructed after Newell, Parker and Court Apts are razed. The paving of the football parking lot (finally!) and new promenade all the way to the soccer fields looks very attractive.

Rink has a room just for shooting, kinda looks like a small racquetball court. Hot and ice baths in both lockerrooms, can't wait to see.

I did a recon visit and actually got inside the new rink fore about two minutes. Very nice, walkway is wide, ice going on around Aug 15.

Slater golf tourney attendants got a walkthrough of the new rink Saturday. . Less than two months until the first women's home opener.

Just checking in. Can't wait 'til October 1st weekend. Official opening of Riggs Rink, homecoming, etc. - should be a great time!

Watched them put it up on the webcam yest, was too lazy to post. Glad people are watching !
