Colgate and Starr's last season

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

Hey Colgate fans! Random question . . .I was in the front row at the game in Orono last night (nice win, btw) and noticed that #33 goaltender has "Fish are friends not food" on his mask. I just thought that was really bizarre. Does anyone know the significance of this?
Thanks!

Don't know for sure. Sounds like Hamilton is a PETA fan or just against harm to any animals.
Hopefully last nite's win augurs a turaround of sorts and we can go into the Capital District with some MO.

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

If anyone is making the trip to Troy on Saturday, it is the fourth annual Autism Awareness game. The game will be conducted in silence (no band, music, or goal horn) so that kids with Autism can enjoy the game and not have a meltdown. Donations to the Autism Society will be accepted at the game.

It's a quote from the great movie Finding Nemo... delivered by a shark named Bruce. Expect young Racine is just having some fun with his name!

Is it me or do you guys always host your Autism Awareness game against Colgate? And is this due to our scoring 8 goals against you guys in the 2012 Big Red Freakout?

I think it's more due to the fact that no one wants to come and see Colgate play. :D

A student gave me Xmas tix behind the Colgate bench to the game...and I'm not sure even I want to be there lol. At least your band will be silent, which is a terrific bonus.

The Colgate women have hosted Autism Awareness games over the last several seasons.

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

When are they going to move the NAF Webcam inside? Though it's nice to see stairs to an entrance, it can be somewhat tired.

Hopefully soon, Vicky has been made aware already. Plus Hamilton is going to get buried with snow in the next 48 hours.

Morning update - stairs no longer visible. By the end of day, I think all we have is a large green wall to view. I wonder whether moving the camera inside will lead to more interesting views - I would think the bulk of the work will be taking place in the offices/locker rooms/etc. with only sporadic activity in the seating bowl.

From what I remember with the Penn State progress, there was quite a bit to see.

BTW, I think the snow's a little early. Want to give us some? ;)

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

You're right flaggy, there's a ton of things to see in and around the bowl, scoreboards etc. I wonder if they will have a four sided video scoreboard ? I watched Penn States also, it was interesting.

Wouldn't be surprised if you do; it's the new hotness these days. Plus, there's nothing like flashing "The Ultimate Home Ice Advantage" in a manner that would create seizures. :p:D

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

Does anyone know what the story is on Freeman, missed fourteen games?? I decided to check out our plus minus numbers. I have never seen this before, we have NOONE with a plus rating. Leading the way are Citron -14, and Borkowski -13, considering he has nine goals he's been on the ice for too many goals.

I was going to watch tonight's game but Union charges 7.95 so not sure. RPI had great HD coverage if I remember correctly.

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

RPI has great video, and if I remember correctly they even sync up GR's call, so you get the best of both worlds

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

Good win. We should jump over Brown and Union into 9th place with the W. Gotta keep rolling tomorrow night.

Re: Colgate and Starr's last season

Three years in a row now that we've won in Schenectady. Even more amazing is the fact that in all 3 of these wins, we erased a 3rd period deficit!

But we've still lost our last 3 games in Troy. Hopefully we turn that around tomorrow night.
