Colgate 23-24

Quasi, I see 3 p.m. on Friday, March 1, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, for Colgate’s home second-round games. The Colgate men play both of those two days at 7 p.m. (vs. RPI and Union, respectively).

In the last several years where we have been top 5 for good portions of the year, PairWise has never been an issue as the ECAC and WCHL are light years better than any other conference. This year after beating OSU and then losing to them in OT the first weekend, for the first month or so we were either first or second and now it appears we have slumped to 4th. We will be in the NCAAs even if we don't sweep Brown regardless of what happens after...With our men's team the ECAC is only an adequate conference ex. Q, and our OTC games are rarely against top teams unlike the women which makes a huge difference and why PairWise there is more important.

Yes, she played.
It really wasn’t much of a contest. I felt bad for the Brown goalie. After our third goal, she looks up to the scoreboard, we’re leading 3-0, and her team had a total of 4 SOG at that point. Has to be deflating.

Getting closer to a Colgate vs Clarkson game at Class of 65 next weekend !

Was at the game, but essentially tied after 1. Many repetitive 5-hole shots that were easily stopped and not a single goal due to a deflection bc we pass. Just don’t see this getting the job done against Clarkson and the league’s stingiest goalie, and definitely not OSU. PP has been off and unfortunately, so has Kalty. We showed some great pressure against a weaker team.

Down by 1 with under 3 min, I knew Clarkson would tie it and win in OT. It has been their fate all season. They are scary and will leave it at that. I do not have as much faith in our decent goalies, esp after watching Osborne come out of the net as often as she did to play the puck unnecessarily.

Looks like some things are missing here imo. Perhaps her suspension played a political role.

Hey billy it was 5-1 and your observations are clearly based upon a clear lack of intelligence of the game. Stupid penalties perhaps but to compare this game to your beloved clarkson team who merely limped past a better team effort from the tigers only furthers my point. As the knights court jester you should go post your “homerisms” on their thread.

Amen and thank you jimmywallstreet... so sick or hearing TB whine about Osborne and our team generally. I watched the entire Clarkson Princeton game and Princeton hit 3 or 4 pipes in their double OT loss. Outplayed Clarkson for big chunks of time. It's weird how teams matchup but Princeton who we seem to have had little trouble with these past few years (before that they owned us) causes Clarkson fits!

Thought we were rusty and lackadaisical in parts of yesterday's game. Kalty was there but not a factor and she has to change that asap. Hope we're better today. More in the moment and with the take no prisoners attitude we will need next weekend and forward.

With Colgate, Clarkson, St.Lawrence and Cornell all winning today and sweeping their quarterfinals, the match-ups are set for next week's semi-finals at Colgate. Colgate will face Cornell, with Clarkson facing St. Lawrence. All four are playing well, so it should be an exciting set of games.

I sounds like we can say, with certainty, on Saturday, March 8, that it will be...

Colgate vs. Cornell
Clarkson vs. Saint Lawrence

Iowa,
USCHO women's hockey schedule page says semi-finals are on Friday (March 8), NOT Saturday.
Friday, March 8, 2:00 pm Cornell-Colgate 6:00 pm StLawrence-Clarkson
Finals are Saturday March 9, 5:00 pm.

Going to game today, Cornell is a sleeper team with Izzy Daniels who has fifty five points. Raiders better not look past them ! Curious, is Deliandelis the daughter of Dan Deliandelis former Gate goaltender ?

Cornell played a good game against Colgate today, keeping Colgate in check for the first two and a half periods until Greig took over! It was anyone's game until then. It's possible the two teams may see each other in the NCAAs.

Colgate's and Cornell's pep bands were both there, and played together between the second and third periods.

The Colgate men's hockey team were there to cheer on the Raiders.

Given results of todays WCHA semis, looks like both Colgate and Clarkson will be in top four in PWR regardless of results tomorrow.

Very disappointed that the ECAC did not provide any printed program for the 1000+ fans in attendance. How lame can they get?

I haven't seen a printed program in many many years, at least out west here. WCHA will only give you a roster chart if you buy something.
