The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I too have been told that Harder is the leader in the clubhouse. Hard to believe they wouldn't go with a guy who's currently recruiting and coaching in the ECAC....but interviews are done for a reason !!
Time will tell I suppose!! Hopefully they make the damn announcement so the players and faithful can begin the next chapter.
I reach out to share the news that Mike Harder ’97 will be named Colgate’s next Donald F. Vaughan Head Men’s Ice Hockey Coach! Coach Harder is a name that many of you will recognize. He is Colgate’s all-time leading scorer and an All-American, had a 13-year professional playing career in North America and Europe, and served as an assistant coach at Colgate from 2013-2019.
Ready for a new renaissance of Colgate hockey, God willing. With winning records. Packed stands. Fan incentives. Strong OOC schedules. And better student turnout.
I hope shortly after Coach Harder meets with the team and staff he sits down with Coach Fargo and gets the skinny on how the women's team is able to consistently recruit top players to Hamilton, NY. I believe Coach H was responsible for recruiting some great talent during his time here as an Asst so he's already done it, but Coach Fargo has made it an art form for a school our size.
So as would be expected after the hiring of the new coach i have been on the team site just looking around. I have noticed that they have removed both youngs and updated the classes of other players (sr, jr, etc). Manderville is still on the page, anyone know if he is actually coming back for his 5th year?
