Quite possibly the dumbest thing I've heard in D-I hockey. So close to the goal and you knowingly do something stupid like that?

When I first heard they were done I actually felt sorry for them having their season abruptly end again. Then I heard the reports of the party and my sorrow was washed away.
 
Within 24 hours, I went from feeling bad for the student-athletes to feeling bad for the coaching staff and the myriad of staffers who worked so hard to get the team to the cusp of the NCAA tournament. Crazy!
 
It sure was, Shabby. Still, the program is strong and the NCAA should get used to seeing Colgate on the big stage, year in and year out. Congratulations to the team, coaches and program on a great year! Go 'Gate!
 
agree re: our women's program...tough loss, but they'll be back...as an aside, I thought the color "woman" last night was simply awful...no knowledge of the Colgate team, no real analytical credit given during the game...if you're going to add "color" to a broadcast do your homework first...the play-by-play guy was fine, incidentally...
 
If we can beat SLU tomorrow, saturday afternoon we'll have football and hockey on ESPN+ at 3:30 and 4:00. Basketball friday on TRUTV at 12:45, I actually think we have an outside shot at the upset. Big tv weekend !
 
So much for that football game :-/ Too bad b/c the guys have waited long and worked hard. But after last Saturday’s loss, maybe it’s a blessing in disguise. Not sure how a team that has had 450+ days to prepare will suddenly get better overnight. First game was very telling, only 55 rushing yards. Never thought I’d see the day.

Some of the worst goaltending I have seen. Both teams, the fourth SLU goal I could have caught, seriously ! Shoot the puck Barry ! And a totally biased SLU announcer ! Just brutal !
 
Stick a fork in another dismal season. Best of luck to the seniors in all their future endeavors.

Our program is so overdue for a change I don’t even know what to say anymore.
 
I disagree...thought the announcers were quite good...was wasn't good was the goaltending, and it has been a problem for recent games...thought we had the better of the play and as usual the kids played hard...good luck to SLU against Q-Pac...and too bad our seniors never experienced a winning season at Colgate...THAT must be addressed and addressed soon...

Gylander is a sieve and he's the only goalie we've ever played. What else would you expect; we couldn't even hold a lead.
Coach V is a plague of his own making and has completely ruined our hockey program.
 
A fun game to watch. I'm glad its not a best out of 3. Saints caught many breaks tonight. Not looking forward to playing your team next season. Much respect
 
I'm sure I am not alone in saying: I am tired of losing...and to be honest our goalie play over the last 7 or 8 games has been below mediocre...and DV continued to stay with one goalie...in any event, fortunate we could play this year and kudos to everyone who made this happen...at least we're not the Ivy League or the pathetic administrations at Union or RPI...President Casey and AD Moore, it's way past time to do the right thing for our program...sad though it may be, IT'S YOUR JOB...
 
I really feel like the administration will give him a pass because of Covid.

Of course, his terrible results this year are the same as his terrible results in all the non-Covid years.

Still, I think that’s going to be the cover for not making a change. “How can we possibly do something so radical with the unprecedented impact of a pandemic?”
