interesting...I also saw what looked like a Q-Pac coach (maybe their head coach) trying to go after what appeared to be one of our players...who knows what was said, although the presumption is that the teams' coaches should be the adults in the room...I also don't know the relationship between Pecknold and DV...in any event, we've GOT to be better in transition (although we were pretty bad last night, we did play a very solid second period - ruined at the end of the period by the officials)...I know DV has a temper (who wouldn't) but I've never seen him like I did last night...and frankly, Don is a class act and I would strongly suggest he had a number of valid points to make to the clowns in the zebra suits...
Admittedly, I was hoping for a Yale win also to get Cornell rather than Union in the semis, but there you have it. Great to hear the win tonight, hopefully I'll get the video working for Friday (no TV for the game is...disappointing, for certain)
So rare that it's happened four times in the 10 years that this playoff system has been in place. And, you have to go all the way back to 2009 to see the last time it happened. Man, that's so rare. Now there's a true ECAC rarity - the four top seeds headed to the semi's. Glad Gate could be a part of it. And here's to hoping for upset fever next weekend.
Wow, just WOW!![]()

Wasn't expecting Mihalik to pitch a shutout tonight, but we definitely pulled out all the stops. Gotta give LOTS of credit to Chris Wagner, he had FIVE goals this weekend, and SEVEN in his career against the Bobcats. He's our new Bobcat killer now that Peter Bogdanich is long gone.
Union won't be easy, but they say it's difficult to defeat a team 3 times in one season. Of course, they'll also remember what happened to them last year
Let's go 'Gate!!!!!
Flagdude08, feel free to invoke the ECAC semi curse.![]()
